New Sbemail today! Looks like 150 wasn't the end after all. Instead, we can sit back and enjoy :kot: and his Quite Popular Cartoon show... get cancelled.

This actually wasn't an email (it was classified as a toon).

I've got a thing on it up in the Toons section.

Nopenopenopenopenope. Check all up on Denny's menu, and look at the link to Sbemail 151, Senior Prom. It just doesn't have the same URL as the other emails, because TBC wanted us to THINK the KoT had his own toon

(like anyone would watch that...)

OMG POOPSMITH SPEAKS!

:P

I like that one.

...

A lot.

I really liked it. In fact, it might be one of my favorite e-mails. There were so many funny parts, like at the beginning where they made you think it would be a KOT toon, Homestar and Marzipan being the only couple at the prom, the KOT's servants as the band, the Poopsmith as the lead singer, and Strong Bad noticing he's the only one who wears pants, and winning the award for Prom Queen for it! It's 9/10 in my book. Being a 9/10 because it was a little short.

EDIT: Now I get the egg. They cut out the intro, so they were showing it.

Darn, now we STILL don't know if Homestar really does have "long pants" 'cause he was out of shot when the Button went active. No poof, no proof.

That was pretty weird....

but funny. The latest emails remind me of the classic Compy era stuff.

Why isn't any of the transcript up? I was wondering what the easter egg with the start of the new e-mail said!

What's going on

the start of the 'new' email is actually what you missed between the rise and fall of the king of town's show.

Heh, well shoot, I was actually looking forward to the KoT toon!

Either way, this was a grand email. Had a good share of laughs. And it took me forever to figure out the easter egg, heh.

I thought it was pretty funny. I was actually dissapointed because I thought it was going to be a 'toon, not another e-mail. It was still funny though. I espacially liked the beginning and the part where the Poopsmith may or may not have spoken.

Wow that one got me to laugh out loud. Did the poopsmith talk? Will we ever find out?? And if he did how did Strong Bad happen to know what his voice sounds like cause it sounded just like it did in "Different Town".

And the easter egg about Homestar's pants was great.

"Well maybe I will keep telling myself that!"

That was AWESOME. XD; There were too many funny parts for me to pick out just one favorite moment. Some highlights:

- The King of Town show! And I thought April Fools was last month...
- Homestar and Marzi looked cute in their prom outfits :)
- "What about Strong Sad and Deborah?" "I'm pretty sure that' s Coach Z."
- "Watch it, David Coppafeel!"
- Coach Z spiking the punch with listerine
- Strong Sad in that astronaut outfit
- Strong Bad in a tiara and kissy boxers XD
- The Poopsmith speaketh?!?

So yeah, I thought it was a really good one. :D Definitely a nice followup to #150. Though I will admit I didn't figure out what was up with that Easter egg until I started reading this topic... I thought my computer messed up.

I think this is pretty good, what with the fake message, Coach Z w/ Listerine, the KoT prank, and the Poopsmith speaking. I think. 8.6/10

That was gweat! I love the fake-out - I looked on the main page and I'm all like, "King of Town cartoon? Who wants to watch a King of Town cartoon? It should be a SBEmail!" Then, whaddya know, my wish came true.

"Instead, we bring you you Strong Bad's very popular cartoon show, already in progress."

Poor Strong Bad and his girl problems...

And nothing beats a Senor Cardgage reference. Too bad he didn't make an appearance, that would have bumped it up the last mark.

9/10

The Poopsmith talked. My world is shattered. Though I guess the "doodle memory" of them in High School really wasn't all that reliable.

What, a Senor Cardgage ice sculpture isn't good enough for ya?

Very enjoyable, solid email. Gotta love the mysterious lack of pants in the H*R world.

:poop: Oh, yeah.

Oopsie poopsie, looks like you slipped.

Wow. I don't know if it was just me, but that felt REALLY random. That said, solid jumpble all 'n' all! I don't know why, but I find disgruntled Marzipan to be REALLY funny. XD

And it's another case of mashing "go," too! And it looks like poor Strong Bad has no more luck with the space ladytypes than he does with the earthen sort. XD And they used the Strong Sadstronaut!

Was that robot stuck in the sand on Mars a reference to the Opportunity rover?

Yeah that was pretty good. I really liked how Pom-pom,apparently the only non-dork of the whole bunch, was at a much cooler private school prom. And the blacksmith showed up. The blacksmith man, that guy is a solid guy.

I'm glad they didn't do a full blown senor cardgage appearance. He's like homsar: kind of a one trick pony, and if he shows up too much he just won't be funny any more in my opinion.

I think the whole girlfriend going to Mars thing dates back to the autobiography email, when Strong Bad talks about his very special lady who had to go to space for reasons too long to describe.

Best email intro ever. Happy... May Fools. I highly appreciated the Beatles and BTTF references. The scene in SB's house was pretty weak, but once it got to the prom this toon really started to pick up speed. I'm glad PomPom showed up in the easter egg; even though the joke was funny, I was a little disappointed when the announcer said he wasn't there. All in all a very well done email. A-.

Heh, I was kind of looking forward to a KoT toon. Great e-mail all around, it really had a classic feel to it. I dunno why, but I really cracked up at how Strong Mad was stuck in the same pose during the whole prom scene.

That was awesome!

I'm not a huge fan of The King of town but I prepared myself for the toon. But when it had nothing to do with him whatsoever I was really confused. Even after it was over I was all "O_o;; I don't get it..."

But in the end I thought it was awesome! A really good SBemail that had me laugh out loud more than once. I'm also really excited to show this to Darren (my brother) because he's going to his first prom on Saterday! How 'bout that, huh? :sb:
