Is it just me, or is the fact that I can recite most of the :sb: emails is disturbing? Since I recite them to my brother sometimes, and there's about 90-100% accuracy. This is probably a stupid topic, but I wanted to know what y'all think? Also, what is up with the "Tell what you think" banners in most of everybody's signatures

If a word or phrase looks stupid, but it's done everywhere, you can probably read about it in the TEF Dictonary.

I know Dangeresque 1: Dangeresque, too? by heart, but it's no surprise since its one of my favorite emails. And I'm sure everybody knows most of the email songs, scroll buttons songs, and songs in the email itself...

I know Guitar, Techno, Virus and Funny off by heart. I kinda don't have much to do after school.

I used to be able to recite 'Japanese Cartoon' 'Dragon' and all of the TGS episodes on command. I don't know if I still have them memorised, though...

On a non-Homestar related note, there was a point where I could recite a good chunk of the dialogue from the first Harry Potter movie.

You guys are pathetic. I have absolutely NO sbemails memorized. Or anything. I can't even remember most lines correctly!

I consider it weird that I'm a much more casual fan of it then most of you, yet I was enough of a geek to register on this forum... :P

However, I DO watch it every week. So I'm sort of in the middle here.

Maybe you have a bad memory!!! MAYBE YOU DON'T LIKE IT!!! JUST GO BACK TO YOUR HOUSE THAT YOU LIVE IN YOU BONES SAGE FAN!!!!
Anyways, it's kinda weird if you actually recite them all in public with non-Homestar fans. Otherwise you're okay, unless you actually tried to memorize them. Usually I don't try but once I've seen one a few times I remember it.

What's better is trying to recite [s]the chapters of the Bible[/s]the SBEmails' names in order. I can't quite do it yet.

I can recite most Teen Girl Squad episodes from memory, as well as a lot of my all-time favorite emails (notably Caffeine, Virus, Crying and a couple of others) and even a couple of the bigger toons (I have practically all of Bug In Mouth Disease memorized, sadly enough).

I'm a loser. XD;

Well, I have a disturbingly large amount of sbemail songs memorized, even though I don't have any of the cd's, nor have I used the wiki on that particular subject. Strongbadia theme song, Rock Opera, Bread Sing-alongs (somebody told me I was a good singer whilst singing that one (?) ), and much, much more. Oh sure, I have a bunch of the tunes themselves memorized. I dunno, I gues I have a knack for that sort of thing.

Now, if only I could extrapolate this to physics...

I do it all the time. I view it as a sign that you're a true fan of H*R. It goes along quite well with my nerdery.

The only things I can remember is the bread songs and the "I'm Just Me Song". I used to remember this entire old old OLD episode of the Simpsons by heart, though.

Dang. I just realized that the one thing that I've really memorized is this:

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale
A tale of a fateful trip
That started from this tropic port
Aboard this tiny ship
The mate was a mighty sailin' man
The Skipper brave and sure
Five passengers set sail that day
For a three-hour tour, a three-hour tour
The weather started getting rough
The tiny ship was tossed
If not for the courage of the fearless crew
The Minnow would be lost, the Minnow would be lost
The ship set ground on the shore of this
Uncharted desert isle
With Gilligan
The Skipper too
The millionaire
And his wife
The movie star
The Professor and Mary Ann
Here on Gilligan's Isle!

I'm pretty sure the only thing that I've ever memorized besides that is "Movin' Out (Anthony's Song)" by Billy Joel.

Anthony works at the grocery store
Savin' his pennies for someday....

Billy Joel is awesome and I'll just keep memorizing them

I practically got "Japanese cartoon" memorized.
I probably seen that e-mail about 50 time now, and I still enjoy it.

Let's try my luck at what I can recite:

*Some intro*

WASSUP,

YOU ARE AWESOME. I LIKE IT MOST WHEN YOU HURT YOUR FRIENDS!

-Andrew

Strong Bad: This is the best email ever. Something something.

Strong bad: Close your eyes and hold out your hands.

Marzipan: I don't want to.

Strong Bad: Stick your head in this!

Homestar: (Something along the lines of agreement)

Pom Pom: *Bubbles*

Homsar: AaAaAaAa! I do what I'm toooold.

Strong Bad: Ahh, just givin' the fans what they want.

*Something else*

Man, I'm bad at this :p

I don't know about SBemails, but I can recite an embarassingly large portion of the dialogue from the movie A Bug's Life.

Actually, now that I think about it, I probably know "caffiene" by heart. *runs through it in her head* ...Yeah, I do. But it's my favorite e-mail, so I'm ALLOWED to be pathetic.

I can recite Sibbie, Sisters, Dragon and Virus. I guess reciting them all is a pretty cool thing.

(I can recite/sing most of the songs from MST3K and Forehead Shavecut but that's another story.)

I c'n do sibbie and little questions from memory. If there weren't already transcripts of them, I could do transcripts of them real quick.

I can do some kinda robot, except for the email song (Did he do one on the first one?)

Dear Strong Bad,
Do you take off your mask and boxing gloves before you go to bed?
Abdi LaRue
San Diego, CA

Well, that's a stupid question, Abdi. Do you take off your face and hands before you go to bed? And if so, are you some kinda robot? And if so, what kind of powers do you have? Do you use them for good, or for awesome? Would you like to join forces? I just happen to be the greatest criminal mind of our time.

Okay, so until next time, send me an email and I will make fun of you. I mean answer them.

Now to check the transcript to see if I had it right...

Man, if it would attract guys, I'm sure I could do it. But I've never really bothered. I used to make a habit of memorizing things, and in eighth grade, I could recite Rain Man if I watched it with the sound off.

No emails, but can recite "Ballad of the Sneak"...

I know a lively fellow,
who is really quite unique,
he's small and smart and yellow,
with a rodent-like physique,
he doesn't play the cello,
and he never deigns to speak,
he's the Strong Bad's Leporello,
and they just call him the Sneak...

I'm not completely sure what I can and can't memorize. My memory has proven to be very good in the past - after all, I can recite all 386 Pokémon in order. But let's see...

I know most, if not all of the songs (including rock opera)
I think I know mile and caffeine completely, if not, then very close
20X6 vs. 1936
Under Construction
Ballad of the Sneak
Parsnips a' Plenty
most of Lookin' In A Thing In A Bag
Cheat Commandos and Time to Break...fast
New Boots
I used to know the first 3 Teen Girl Squads, I might still

...that might be it. But it's still a lot.
And I pretend that it's made of money...

I think there are maybe 40-80 emails I can recite at about 80% accuracy. My friend and I are both Homestar Runner fans, and I tried doing them just as we watched. Pretty close on both counts. My memory's not exactly bad.

By the way, I think Homsar's quote in "your friends" is "I'm savin' the best for laaaast!" when all those scorpions walk into his mouth. Isn't "I do what I'm told!" from Dragon?

I think I know most of the "rock opera" rock opera by heart. "Join on my single hundred toilet dream picture... Everybody want to scam some sweet bucks..." Not the e-mail itself, though I am fond of the line, "Though when have I ever been one to turn down a bad idea? Let's get this train wreck a-rollin'!"

And I know "Experimental Film." But that's not really pure Homestar...
