What you _don't_ expect to happen

Sorry, couldn't help doing a parody of that post title. Anyway, this is my first "toss in your opinion" post, and I think it's a relatively good topic, but you guys can decide that.

Point and Purpose: We're always talking about what we'd like Strong Bad to do with our emails, or what we'd like to happen with an email in general. But the truth is that TBC thrive on the unexpected; if something deviates far enough from what the viewers expect to happen, it's hilarious!

One of my favorites would have to be the easter egg in "couch patch", where we see Homestar lying on Strong Bad's couch and spitting teddy grahams all over the place. Especially since the link to the egg says "make homestar's head explode.exe", having The Cheat's head explode instead (again!) was the most unexpected thing I've seen in a while! Even after watching it ten times over, it's still entertaining. :mrgreen:

Of course, "DELORTED!" ranks in near the top of the list as well.

So, what is your favorite unexpected moment in a Strong Bad Email? A point that sets you up to expect a particular action, only to take it in another direction entirely. Things that make you fall out of your chair, mash your face on the keyboard, cause you to be struck dumb, choke on your lunch, spit out your coffee, or just plain make you go "OMGWTFWINNEBAGO?!?!?"

In "morning routine" all you see is that Strong Bad sleeps all morning. Then there all the eggs that Strong Bad keeps in the couch, and of course: "MY PANTIES! MY PANTIES!"

Any SB email when Homestar appears. I don't know why, but I never expect him.

Okay, for me, the ULTIMATE. The whole reason "funny" is so dang funny. It's keeps topping itself in unexpectedness! First "Leeko leeko leeeeko," and then "Squee-sqaw-squee-squaw"--at this point you're already laughing. All it takes is the absolute suddenness and randomness of the addition of ketchup to the scene to push you over the edge. Everything before that had used stuff that was already there, but--where did that ketchup bottle come from? Why ketchup? Before you have time to recover, there's the irrelevant appeal to "Aunt Rutie," followed by "bunk-REER!-bunk-REER!" And personally, I find the "comedic timing" works best for me with the Homestar easter egg inserted.

In anything, when The Cheat comes in dressed as Sgt.Pepper and gets accidently kicked away. That was weird.

It wasn't funny, but when i saw the easter eggs in "fingers" I kept thinking WTF, and OMG.

In morning rountine, the eggs had me laughing so hard. The Wagon Fulla Pancakes was nice and random, too.

In the strong Sad look a like contest, Homsar looked exactly like Strong Sad, I didn' t expect that! and in the commentary to Experimental Film, Homestar saying "and that tall guy looks just like Coach Z!" about Strong Mad, it was just unthinkable... of.

In "anything," I was really surprised by Homestar's parody of "The Neverending Story." I've never thought him smart enough to think of stuff like that.

Also, in "theme park," I was really surprsied at how the email didn't just end with Strong Bad's theme park and went to The Strongbadia Riverquest Safariventure. I'm a huge fan of Disney's Jungle Cruise and especially his comments after the end.
