James raised his glass of cider with Orandius and Duncan with the words "Good fortune for the three of us."

"A little bit about me?" said James, "Well I recently became a traveller, I was from a village called Ironfan, I guess travelling was in my blood, I heard my Grandfather was a traveller, my mother was an adventurer until she retired at the village. The mayor of Ironfan pretty much set travelling in motion, although he was mayor for a few years. Other than that my life was pretty basic...except for my expertise with the spear."

I'm tempted to reveal my Lycanthropy but theres too many people here, I know I can't hide it forever...wait, I didn't order anything to eat!

Called for the waitress, trying to ignore the meals around him for his hunger to be less noticable.

James realised the waitress and answered "Why yes, erm...what do you have in the meat category?"

As James was talking to the waitress, Orandius had an idea as to how he might receive proper magic tutoring.
He turned to Duncan.
"Say, prince Duncan, does the Lizzard royal family have a magical adviser? And if they do, has he taken an apprentice? I happen to be descended from the Antagaran royal adviser of magic, and am currently in search of a new master."

He figured a royal connection could always be helpful. The lord of Antagar would be pleased if a new magician could be trained and a diplomatic relation created at once.

The waitress nodded and said: "We have some lovely cuts of pork, chicken, and lamb in fresh today. And of course we always have lots of different kinds of fresh seafood. Halibut, clams, crab, lobster, pickerel, trout, oysters, herring... you name it and we probably have it. Just not beef. We're out of beef. What did you feel like today?"

"Wow, seafood has very exotic names." thought James.

"Why I would like some pork" said James, "I would also like a few vegetables as a side dish."

Duncan put down a heaping clawful of lettuce and sat back in his chair. "I'm afraid our kind doesn't deal in magic. When we evolved from dragons we lost our magical abilities." He put his claws behind his head, showing off his powerful arms. "Don't need them, as far as I'm concerned."

The Lizzard went back to his less reptilian meal. It tasted surprisingly good for something not meat. "I hate to disappoint you, Orandius. But I s'pose if you'd like a change of scenery you're always welcome to visit our land."

As Drekle entered the Inn, he took stock of the customers. It looked like there was a new bunch of travelers. Perhaps he could overhear some more adventuring stories to bring home to his mother. He found a seat near the lizardman and his companions and hailed his friend, the barmaid.

"Well my friend, a change of scenery is part of the reason I am on this journey," Orandius replied to Duncan, after a little consideration. "Though I am on a quest to learn the ways of magic, and I'm not sure a non-magical people could help me very much." He said the last part with some disappointment.

Orandius returned to his meal, noting as another local human entered the bar and sat near his group, the place was getting quite full.

"Right, pork chops it is, then" said the waitress. She turned and went through a swinging door into what must be the kitchen.

Drekle shared his amazment as he handed over the money. "And have the travelers shared any good stories yet?" he queried, with a glance toward the group.

James got out his money, trying to figure out which were the pence and which were the shillings. After figuring that out, he payed the barmaid. James payed attention to Drekle and said "I see you're curious about travellers, are you dreaming about becoming a traveller one day?"

There was a silence at the table for a while after Orandius' awkward decline of Duncan's hospitality. Then James suddenly turned to a local at a nearby table and began talking to him, interrupting the local man's own conversation for no reason Orandius could see.

Orandius was surprised at James' disregard for society's customs.
"I think our friend here has been a little too long from civilisation," he whispered to Duncan. "What do you make of him?"

Rien Stren the Cat-man is very tall for one, just under four feet, he has a medium sized tail. He had short, clean, black fur. He wears self made leather tank top with iron sloulder pads, long leather pants, boots, and a horse skin belt, with slits for his two daggers. he has a short sword slung on his back. He has amber eyes and is well mustled for a Cat-person.
Rien left his homeland with his parents when a druid predicted a horrid storm. The Family's small boat washed up on the shore of Glenarbour. Since then his family has been living in a small cotage. Last week, on his 19 birthday he bagan to start his carrier as and adventurerer.

FIX'd

(Everything like the clan ting, the tail, size, and age were just guesting since not much is know about them.)

<GM's Information Regurgitation: Cat-people are about the same size as humans, so four feet tall would mean he's unusually short for his race. Cat-people have a movable tail (for balance), eyes that can see especially well in low-light conditions, ears that can be moved independently of both the head and the other ear, and fur that keeps them warm in cold conditions. They have an innate sense of balance that far exceeds what any of the other name-giver races have. For instance, if you bind a cat-man up in rope, put a hood over his head and throw him off the roof, odds are that he'll STILL manage to land on his feet. They're just that good and keeping their balance. Thanks to their (retractable) claws they also tend to excel at tree climbing. Unfortunately, they also shed cat-hair, the young adults are prone to intense mating urges for a few days every spring, and they are little-known in this part of the world which means that cat-people are often met with suspicion or even panic... Thankfully, a certain gemsmith here in town knows of the cat-people because he used to adventure with their king, Coren. :hint: :hint:>

Rien walked out of his house. "Well, if I'm gonna start adventuring I supose the Inn would be a good start." Said Rien. As he strolled over to The Gold Lion he fidled with his knife a little. After entering the Inn he noticed one table in perticular. At the table was a lizzardman, and elf, and a savage human. The decided to see if they were an adenturing group. If so they my let him join. He walked over to the table. "Hell sirs, would you happen to be a adventuring group?" He asked.

"Maybe I rushed in a little too soon, curiousity seems to get the better of me sometimes" thought James, "The man with the pointy ears isn't looking at me in a positive manner, so it's pretty obvious that wasn't the right thing to do"

"Sorry, how rude of me" said James, "I guess I was a bit too rushy."

Drekle turned from the barmaid, startled a bit at the interruption of the human sitting by the lizardman. "Do you always listen in on personal conversations?" he asked. While travel and adventure were in fact part of Drekle's dreams, he wasn't sure he wanted this stranger to know it.

As the local man responded to James in a surprised way, a Cat-man approached the table and addressed the group.
"Well, sir" Orandius replied to him, "we are somewhat of an adventuring group. You see, we are a group of adventurers, though we have never adventured as a group." He said the last with poetic rhythm and a half-smile.

"And what of you, sir? Are you an adventurer as well?"

[OOG: I know that the game has already started, but I PM'd Sarge and he said I could join.]

(Background Info :I am a Former Human Pirate from the Pirate Isles named Achard. I am not so much of a Pirate anymore. I have a Father who died on his Pirate Ship because of a bad storm. They found his sword and passed it down to him. It's a steel longsword.)

He recently came to Glenarbor from the Pirate Isles. He needed somewhere to stay for the night and he found a place named the Gold Lion. He walked in and saw some people drinking some ale at a table. He walked over to the bar and ordered some ale then walked over and said.
"I'm new here in Glenarbor does anyone here care to show me around town or just explain what it's like here?"
Achard grabbed a chair and pulled it up tot he table and sipped his ale waiting for a reply.

<GM's Poke: It's "Glanarbour", not "Glenarbor." There's a "u" in there, see? Anyways, as per the guidelines posted on the first page, please refer to your character by it's first name when describing it's actions or dialogue. Doing so makes it much easier to understand who's doing what to who. Oh, and The Pirate Isles are a group of islands in The Trackless Sea (also known as The Great Western Ocean or simply The Great Ocean) roughly 200 miles off from the mainland and some 1000 miles South-South-West of Glenarbour. The Pirate Isles is nominally a part of of Skare Brae, but in reality it is ruled by various and sundry bands of pirates, brigands, bandits and outlaws who prey on the lucrative north-south ocean trade lanes along the coast of the mainland.>

"What have I done to attract such eagerness to sit at my table?" Orandius wondered out loud. Then he remembered his manners. "Good evening to both of you, you are welcome to sit here. My name is Orandius Thiaun of Antagar."
