Well, I'm going to make it better than ever!
The
basic rules are the same:
Firstly, this is a sign-up game. PM me to sign up. When enough people have signed up or it looks like no-one else is going to, the sign-ups will end and the game begins.
Everyone who has signed up will receive a PM from me when the game begins.
Try to "assassinate" other players by "sandwiching" their posts with yours, ie. try to get one post before and one post after one of the targeted player's posts.
You can do this in any thread in the forum, and you don't have to mention that you are trying to assassinate them.
Example wrote:
Player 1: Man, is anyone else hungry?
Player 2: Yeah, I'm starving.
Player 1: Yeah, me too.
Possibly the most boring conversation ever, but Player 1 has just assassinated Player 2.
Now Player 1 has to PM me with a link to the topic in which he did this, and I will award him the points.
That brings us to the new part of the game,
the point system:
Each player starts with 4 points.
The first player to get to 10 points wins, and any player that gets down to 0 is eliminated.We may continue to play for second and third, I'll decide that later on.
I will keep a record of everyone's points and PM you if your points change.
Getting points:
If you assassinate your target in any thread, you get 2 points.
If you assassinate another player who is NOT your target in any thread, you get 3 points. This may be hard, as you are not told exactly who is playing.
I am NOT going to be playing as I would have an unfair advantage, so don't try to assassinate me.
If you assassinate your target in
this thread, you get 4 points.
You may not assassinate any player except your target in THIS thread. In any other thread it is fine.
Losing points:
Whenever you are assassinated you will lose the amount of points that your assassin gains.
That means if you are killed by the person targeting you, you lose 2 points.
If you are killed by someone who is NOT targeting you, you lose 3 points.
If you are killed in THIS thread by the person targeting you, you lose 4 points. This is an instant elimination unless you have already assassinated someone.
If you lose any points, you cannot gain any points for 2 hours. You may continue to play the game after this time unless you have no points left.

We don't want that.
As I have mentioned before, if you lose all your points then you are eliminated.
If this happens I will reveal your identity to the other players in this thread, telling them that you were a player but are now eliminated.
Obviously eliminated players cannot continue to play.
Strategy:
It is a good idea to try to get the first post in THIS thread when the game starts, as whoever posts after you may be your target.
Posting in this thread is risky, but you can get big points by doing it. Another thing you might consider is that posting here signals to others that you are a part of the game. Thus they might try to assassinate you in another thread.
Having others unaware that you are playing is a very valuable tool.
Always look at who posted before you when you post anywhere in the forum, especially if they address you directly. They might be trying to get you.
look at your target's profile to see which thread is their favourite, then post there. You will then have a better chance of sandwiching them.
