<You know, orriginally I would've stated that Prosper was more Lawful Good, but I think Neutral Good is better. He hates stealing, but will do it to survive or for a greater cause.>

<<GM's Note: I can't speak for the Player Character's alignments, but the NPC's break down as follows:

Captain Sealem: Lawful Good
Like most other Suldeneselarians, Captain Sealem is has a strong moral and ethical code, and a deep sense of right and wrong. He always strives to uphold the values of decency, justice and freedom, and to act as a true gentleman should.

Maxwell: Neutral Good
Farnham: Neutral Good
Raised as the sons of a rich merchant, these two brothers were impressed with a strong work-ethic from an early age. Not particularly religious, they still were raised to be kind and good to their customers and to their neighbors. However, as men of commerce, they are not above bending the law if it seems necessary (or just convenient). While following the path of good usually means that they also follow the law, they would not hesitate to break what they would see as an evil or unjust law.

Maria: Lawful Good
As a Palidan of Tyr, Maria is a veritable paragon of goodness and justice. Although her recent resurrection from the dead has left her somewhat shaken, deep inside, at the core of her being, she strongly holds to all that is good and right in the world.

Horin: Lawful Good
As a Cleric of Gorm Gulthyn, Horin's purpose in life is to defend and come to the aid of his community. Since he considers this band of adventurers to be his newfound community (of a sort), he feels obligated to see to their needs as if they were his own kin. A devoutly religious man, Horin is strongly dedicated to the side of Order and of Good. His faith in his deity serves as a butress against any doubts or temptations he may feel.

Chezzo: Unknown.... not enough character development for me to say which way he goes yet.

Drek: Neutral(Lawfull) Good*
Unlike most of the people of Suldeneselar, Drek never felt comfortable with the complicated rituals, laws, traditions and customs of his people. He longed for the wide-open spaces, for a simpler life. At his core, he is still a Suldeneselarian, and still has the moral and ethical imprint of those lawfull kinfolk of his. But, as a Ranger, he adopted a more liberal stance with regards to Order vs. Chaos. He is less interested with the rules of men than he is with upholding what is right in this world.

*The lawfull in brakcets means that while he is still neutral, he tends towards the lawfull more than he does to the chaotic

Goldwing: True Neutral
Goldwing is not concerned with anything but her master, and with where her next meal is coming from. She has no concept of Law or Order: If it works, she'll do it. What does she care if she's breaking the law? That said, this bird does tend to avoid acts of malice... unless you're her master's enemy or her next meal.>>

As for alignments: you're pretty much spot-on. }

Taryn didn't have anywhere else to go, really, and so just stayed with Acedia, kneeling and gently lifting and supporting the young woman's head so she could drink without choking. "Her arm's obviously broken," she piped up, clearly seeing the slight confusion in Prosper's face and in his manner. "She's probably got at least one cracked rib, too, or she'd likely be able to sit up."

After she finished drinking, Acedia coughed slightly once more. At least no blood came up this time. "Can't move my legs," she croaked.

"Well, good, she's almost speaking in complete sentences again," remarked Taryn.

[OOC]Coren would be Chaotic Good.
Coren acts as his conscience directs him with little regard for what others expect of him. He makes his own way, but he’s kind and benevolent. He believes in goodness and right but has little use for laws and regulations. He hates it when people try to intimidate others and tell them what to do. He follows his own moral compass, which, although good, may not agree with that of society. Although he is supposed to be king he only wants it to make his home safe again and to keep his word that he gave to his father, and unlike his father who made the Parliament in his country out of fear of rebellion Coren admires it for what it is: Democracy.
[/OOC]
Quote:
Coren, see if you can find Drek. That shouldn't be hard, his Bird is probably fussing over him. I'll be done here in a few minutes. Go on, lads."

"I'll look." said Coren and soon enough he had found the Elf.
[OOC]Since Coren's the one that finds him I'll say where he is.[/OOC]
Drek was lying on the ground near some debris near the side of the cavern. Out cold.
"Found him! He's out cold!" yelled Coren, though it wasn't needed. Yelling was fun in caverns because it distorted the noise a little.

Tem decided that the pit was very annoying, and so concentrated, and sheathed his hands in telekinetic gloves. He advanced up the pit, but then and sudden earthquake jostled Tem's grip, making him fall."gfhlj..." he said. The rockfall didn't appear to do anything else, but you never knew with the Underdark. <GM's note: No, Marcus was holding the other end of the rope that Horin used to come down, so he has to still be up there.>

Micheal heard Tem and said: "Hrm, yes... faerzress. If I remember correctly, that's a strange kind of energy that permeates the Underdark. Too bad I don't know how it works or how to use it. But, anyways, what say I give you guys some light down there? Seems a bit gloomy in the dark, there. Hold on, I'll come down and cast some lighting spells for you guys. Er, bring the rope up please, Marcus, and then tie it in a harness around me and lower me down, 'kay? I don't trust myself to climb all the way down on my own."

Micheal was too embarrassed to admit it, but he was feeling a bit emasculated because he knew he could never climb down that much rope by himself. His arms just weren't strong enough, and he'd never learned how one was supposed to climb rope anyways. It's not something he ever thought he'd have to do. Being a mage did have it's disadvantages.

<OOC: Like I stated before, Andrew is Neutral Good, he is neutral with Law and Chaos due to the fact he views that they are both important to society and focusing on one will also lessen focus on the greater good according to him, as with Good, Andrew wants to ensure people have good lives and are away from harm, he even has some empathy towards some soldiers of evil seeing them as "mislead souls"

I was actually gonna post the longest OOC message in this RP's History excluding Sarge's OOC messages, with information about the Monks of Ret's history, which is Andrew's community>

Like Marcus, Andrew was helping with holding the rope, though he was not as strong as some of the other party members, he did have a bit of strength.

<GM's Note: Well, don't let me stop you. Fleshing out your character's background is a good thing.>

Horin finished employing his medical arts towards Captain Sealem and that Elven Swordsman. He called out to Coren: "OK, I'll be there next. Keep an eye on mister Drek, and call out if he stops breathing." He bundled up the remaining contents of the First Aid Kit and walked over to Aceidia. He said to Taryn: "Aug, lass, that's a nasty wound ye have 'ere. You drank the potion I sent over with Prosper? Ah, I see... yes. Not as potent as I'd hoped. Aye, you need more healing. Alright... more healing magic, coming up." Horin started the incantations and soon Acedia could feel her legs again. "Well, it's still broken, but it's just a fracture now instead of a total break. You'll still have to stay off that leg untill I can do some more healing on it tomorrow. My magic is just about spent for now. Taryn, see if you can find some wood that we can use to make a splint out of. The Bugbears must have had some furniture or barrels of something. Go look up top, aye? I have to go check on Drek and look at Coren's ear. Prosper, stay here and keep Aceida company."

"Yessir!" Marcus saluted the human and brought up the rope. He did as Michael requested, and leaned against a wall for a little extra support. While everyone waited, Marcus crossed his arms and flexed them out of boredom.

Taryn simply nodded, got carefully to her feet and rose out of the pit, setting off in search of wood. Acedia was grateful for the ability to feel her legs again - it confirmed that they were there, at least. Now if only she could get up. She'd been lying here for a while and the floor wasn't exactly comfortable. At the very least she'd like to be able to sit upright, though she suspected enough of her ribs were broken to make sitting up a bad idea for the time being.

<GM's Note: <<BEGIN RECAP>> Horin healed Acedia some more, but he couldn't totally heal her. All this spellcasting is tiering, and he already did a bunch of healing earlier this day. So now, instead of her leg bone being totally broken, now it's just fractured. He thinks he'll be able to completely heal it after he gets some rest, but for now he wants to put it in a splint, so he asked Taryn to look for anything he can use to make splints out of. Horin then told Acedia to stay still, told Prosper to stay with her, and then he went to check on the unconscious Drek and to look at Coren's bleeding ear. <<END RECAP>> Understand now?>

Marcus lowered Micheal down ye olde hole on ye olde rope.

Micheal untied the rope when he got to the botton, and called up "Thanks for the lift... er. lowering. Whatever. You know what I mean, Marcus. Stand by, OK?"

Miceheal looked around, closed his eyes and said "Alakazam!" and suddenly the room lit up in a vibrant, brilliant, everchanging light show. He said: "It's a little spell called 'Fool's Glow.' It's meant for use at parties, as a bit of illusionary entertainment, but in a pinch it serves nicely as a illumination source.

Now the the cave was lit up, the various features of their environs were now visible to the people in the cave. They were on an huge outcropping of rock. The outcropping was jutting out into a amazingly large vertical tunnel that ended just meters above their heads.

<GM's Note: To get an idea of what sort of scale we're talking about, think of a Pringle's can that someone poked a unsharpened pencil into. Well, the vertical tunnel is the Pringles can and the outcropping of rock is the pencil. You are a speck of dust on the end of the pencil, and a small ant has chewed a hole in the top of the can.
However, the Gamemaster ate all the Pringles. That last part has nothing to do with the scale of things, it's just that I'm hungry and the vending machine is all out of Pringles>

"RIght." replied Prosper to Horrin. "I'll do that." he watched as Taryn left. There went their light. Prosper wondered how long he'd have to get used to pitch blackness when suddenly the room was lit by Micheal's party spell. Prosper yelled, covering his eyes from the bright, flashing light. When he opened and adjusted them, he stood. Ahead of them the floor suddenly droped away, and an enourmous pit replaced it.
The boy looked up, glad that the party hadn't been any farther along when the Umber Hulk crashed through.
"It's a good thing no one tried to move forward." he remarked to no one in particular.

The Lizzard raised up the rope again and just plopped it down on the floor of the tunnel in a messy little pile.

"You need me to come down there, sir?" He called. The drop was so deep that not the faintest glimmer from Michael's spell could climb up through the shadows and beacon good news to the rest of the party.

<GM's Note: It's actually about 80 feet from the hole in the mine shaft floor to the floor of the outcropping of rock that the injured party members are on. The mine shaft floor is only about 10 feet thick, and the hole in it is about 15 feet wide by 10 feet long.>

Micheal called up to Marcus: "No, stay there Marcus. Wait for Maxwell and Farnham to get back with Horin's stuff. I think he's gonna need it."

Chezzo, who was still top-side, said: "You know, there is a iron door that leads down below, but It's locked and the Ogre-mage has the key. Since he's a block of ice right now I guess we'll have to wait untill he thaws out if we want to see what's behind it. I was never allowed in there. I wonder if it leads down to where your friends are or if it leads somewhere else. Hrm... anyways, there is some furniture in the Ogre-Mage's old bedroom. Tell that Taryn person I know where she can get some good wooden planks."

Horin was over by Drek and was examining him: "Praise be to Gorm Gulthyn, Mister Drek isn't too badly hurt. Just a bump on the noggin and a bunch of scraps and bruises. Nothing I can do, really: His skull isn't cracked and he's not bleeding. It's not too serious. I'll just give him some Dreklika Root extract when the supplies from me waggon gets here, and that should revive him. Gotta give him something for the swelling too... perhaps some Numbroot paste or a bit of Caukleberry ointment. His head is gonna hurt a lot when he wakes up, but otherwise he's fine. We'd best get him out of that pile of sand, though. Just my luck, me shovel is still in me wagon. I guess we do this the old fashioned way, aye?" Horin started brushing sand away from Drek's lower body with his hands.

<GM's Note: Drek is buried up to his waist in a small pile of sand... he actually fell into a pile of sand that was falling with him as he fell. That is, the sand was under his feet as he fell because it was dislodged from the roof of this cavern when the Umber-hulk broke through. It partially broke his fall, which is why he didn't break anything when he landed. Of course, his head still hit the floor pretty hard, which is why he's got that bump on his noggin.>

Goldwing hopped up on Drek's back (Drek is face-down on the floor)and started peeping excitedly and flapping her wings. Apparently, it was of a mind to protect Drek from Horin and Coren. Horin said: "Augh, now we've done gone and upset Goldwing." ::Sigh:: "The big cat isn't gonna eat ya, you silly bird. Calm down and let us dig. Come on, relax. That's a good birdy...." But Goldwing didn't understand so she started pecking at Horin, who immediately backed up. Horin said, exasperated, "Drat... she's not gonna let us touch him, is she. Any ideas?"

<GM's Recap: OK, so...
... the group was on their quest to bring Eruantian to White Dragon Peak to get his ring back. They encountered a group of friendly pixies who were threatened by a Dragon, and they beat the Dragon. Then, they were teleported to the edge of the forest, where they encountered yet more enemies. This time, they were ambushed by a group of bandits who had been duped into working for a pair of Vampires. Despite their elaborate plans, the Vampires were driven off and Horin got the idea to harvest wild Garlic to ward off the Vampires from then on. Aurial got kidnapped, and Eruantian got his ring back (now fixed and with extra abilities). The gropu went to try and rescue Auriel, but Eruantian ended up going ahead of them. He found his way into a old Mine Shaft where be believed Auriel might be being held. Meanwhile, Horin and the rest of the group encountered an army of Bugbears, but they managed to defeat them all. Eruantian rescued a boy who had been turned into a bird to serve an evil Ogre-Mage, and discovered that his ring could un-polymorph someone (along with other, previously unknown, powers). Eruantian also used his ring to freeze the Ogre-mage into a block of ice (presumably) killing the Ogre-Mage in the process. Howeverm Auriel wasn't anywhere to be found becasue she had already escaped from her captors. Unfortunately for her, she went down a dead-end tunnel, not the one that would have lead to where Eruantian was. The party caught up with Eruantian, and together they mopped up the remaining Bugbears in the mine shaft. They split up into two groups. One group went one way , the other group another way. However, the group that had Captain Sealem, Prosper, Drek, Acedia, Taryn, Coren, and the three Elven Swordsmen were surprised by a giant Umber-Hulk as it burst up from the ground beneeth their feet. They then fell into the hole that the Umber-Hulk had created, killing two of the three remaining Elven Swordsmen and injuring (to variing degrees) the rest. Captain Sealem nearly died, Aurial was badly wounded, Drek got kocked out, Coren landed on his feet (nearly unscathed) and Prosper's amulet mysteriously prevented him from falling. Taryn did fall, but since she's not corporeal, she didn't really get hurt much. Meanwhile, The Umber Hulk went down the same passage the Auriel had gone down, collapsing the tunnel behind itself. What became of Auriel is unknown, but OOC you should know that Jone's Girl (Auriel's Player) has left the game and requested a death sceen for Aurial, so Auriel will not be returning to the party for the foreseeable future (if ever). Anyways, Horin didn't fall down the hole (he was in another part of the abandoned mine at the time), but he quickly organised a relif effort. He got all the rope available put together and had himself lowered into the hole. He also sent Maxwell and Farnham back outside to get his wagon (which he had left outside.) Since being lowered into the hole, he's cast Cure Modeate Wounds three times, and has been very busy bandaging wounds and such. Micheal came down the rope after Horin and has illuminated the cavern with his Fool's Glow spell. If you want an updated liost of Horin's spells, I'll PM or email them to you if you PM me for them. That is all. You may resume gaming.... Now.>
