Michael tried to think of a way to scare off the Gnomes with out hurting them, but all of those spells were damaging to the fatigue. "Guess I have no choice" said Michael, suddenely he casted Cone of Cold, the spell aiming at the gnomes.

Thinking fast, Drek whipped his foot out and caught the nearest Gnome in the head. He jumped aside and and quickly unstrapped his bow. Grabbing an arrow from his quiver, he loaded it and shot the gnome in the leg.

Six Gnomes were caught in the blast from the Cone of Cold, and instantly became covered in snow and frost. The sudden shock caused all of them to drop their swords and fall down, shivering. However, they were all still alive, just stunned and frozen. The Gnome that Drek had caught in the head with his boot heel was holding one hand up to his head and tottering to one side precariously, as if he could fall over at any moment. The five remaining Gnomes were attacking Maxwell, but Maxwell was too fast for them and they were wearing themselves out chasing him.

One of the remaining Gnomes cried out "Stand and fight, you coward!" but it was to no avail. Maxwell knew when he was outnumbered, so he was using his longer legs and larger lung capacity to lead the gnomes on a merry chase that went in a circle. He apparently was leading them back to the party.

Meanwhile, the falcon that had dived at Drek had flown off and was no longer visible because of the obscuring foliage from the forest.

"Auriel! Catch!" Tem threw her a glowing dagger. It was his ghostly weapon, so if they looted the dagger from his resting place it would disappear. However, they can't kill, but it touches an enemy with such cold and despair it's almost as bad. He grabbed one of the gnomes with his tentacles, showing him his lamprey-like mouth. The gnome was traumatized for the rest of his life. Then he threw him into one of the gnomes that was chasing maxwell.

"Auriel! Catch!" Tem threw her a glowing dagger. It was his ghostly weapon, so if they looted the dagger from his resting place it would disappear. Suddenly, an arrow came out of nowhere and pegged a gnome on the head. When everyone looked to see what shot it, they saw a teenaged person wearing a blue cloak standing there with a crossbow.

"Heya. I'm Xander." he said as he shot another gnome.

{Marcus is already on his way to Targos with Acedia and Farnham. Those who didn't rush off with him went looking for the gnome only to find a bunch of others. So Marcus is not at the fight. Drek, Aurieul, Maxwell, and Michael (am I missing anyone?) are fighting. I don't remember where Prosper went.}

Xander kept on shooting at the gnomes, and he got them all. However, they were still lots of them left, and he was out of arrows.

"uhh...guys..." He said. "A little help?"

"Huhh....I could have sworn i had more arrows than this, though." Xander said. He was right, too - some gnomes ran off with a bunch of his arrows.

Luckily, they were all in sight, so he ran over to them and smacked them upside the head. "You better keep your hands off of my stuff!" he said.

Suddenely Michael casted "Call Ram".

Aurieul somehow managed to catch the glowing dagger thrown in her direction. Of course, she wasn't quite sure what to do with it once she had it. It seemed like everyone else had things under control. The gnomes seemed to be in chaos, half stuck with arrows from a stranger. One of them came teetering in her direction, so she took a swing.

Micheal's "Call Ram" spell had summoned a Solar Ram!! Solar Rams are extremely fast creatures that come from the Plane of Brilliance (an extradimational plane that lies beyond the Astral plane.) The summoned Solar Ram was brightly glowing. It charged at the Gnomes with it's head down. The Gnomes stoped chasing Maxwell and tried to avoid the Solar Ram instead, but most of them got hit by the Ram.

After a brief melee, the reminaing Gnomes (all three of them) saw that their situation was now hopeless, so they tried to run away.

Aurieul noticed that the three standing gnomes were trying to scatter. Here she knew she could help. She jolted her horse into motion and worked to corral the gnomes back towards the others. Maybe we could get some anwers out of them.

{}{}{: It seems to me that the gnome fight is taking place outdoors in essentially the middle of nowhere, so Tem, good luck finding a wall to be flung through.

Also, since we've cleared up exactly where Tem is, disregard my last post. o-O; You know, on the page before this'n. o-o; :}{}{}

"How much farther is Targos from here, do you know?" Acedia asked Farnham, who had been completely silent for the entire journey. O__o;

"<curse>-ing gnomes! You guys are nothing like your lawn types!" said Tem. He grabbed one with telekenesis, then asked, "alright, who are you working for?!"

The Gnome that Tem had grabed said: "I'm not saying nothing. You can torture us, but we'll never talk." He then crosssed his arms and tried to look very defiant. However, Tem could see that the Gnome was actualy quiet afraid.

"Okay..."said Tem, "I'll have to kill you then." He attatched his bone serration to the yard gnome's head. He didn't suck, and he didn't cut. he just gave him a helping of FEAR.

Marcus slowly began to wake up. He looked like he'd had quite a few drinks; his eyes were purple-shot & shaky.

"Aaaaooaaawwaaaoooooowwwwhhhhhh...what happened?"

The Gnome tea was starting to wear off, but Marcus still needed the cure of the Purple Rose to avoid permanent brain damage.

[OOC: This would be the part where Farnham speaks. ]

"I think I have better persuasion methods." Xander said as he approached the gnome.

Xander held up his arrow so the Gnome could get a good look at it, and instantly the gnome was speaking.

"Alright, I'll talk." The gnome said.

"Elven arrows." Xander said, explainging how he made it talk. "Something about the way that they are carved makes these guys petrified."

Both Gnomes finally let up.

"W-w-w-we were sent by a Drow, sir. A very powerful mage. He promised us safety for bringing us up to the surface."
