IantheGecko wrote: Marcus slowly began to wake up. He looked like he'd had quite a few drinks; his eyes were purple-shot & shaky.
"Aaaaooaaawwaaaoooooowwwwhhhhhh...what happened?" The Gnome tea was starting to wear off, but Marcus still needed the cure of the Purple Rose to avoid permanent brain damage. [OOC: This would be the part where Farnham speaks. ]And so Farnham spoke, saying: "Hey, he's awake. Marcus, you were druged, but everything's gonna be OK. We're nearly at the Targos gates, and there's a herbalist that lives at Targos. He can help you fell better. Now lay still, please." |

"Musta been that...what was it again? Oh yeah, the squiddly man. I'll try to keep still." Marcus couldn't help but move his clawed fingers around like tentacles, and flicking his tongue in & out. "I'm tied to a horse! Ha ha...hahahaha..." |

Drek was very worried at the mention of a Drow. "I don't like this at all," he said. "If the Drow are getting aggressive, it may not be long until they move on Skara Brae or Suldeneselar." |

"Uhh...that's not important. Anyways, I say we camp out for tonight and then attack those drows if they are still there." he said. "Who's with me?" |

The Gnomes wriggled around in the air under Tem's mind-control. "Please put us down, sir! We mean no harm!" |

Xander grabbed the gnome and set him down. "Next time you take orders from a Drow, expect the worst. Your friends should regain conciousness in a little while." Xander told the gnome. The gnome ran off. "Now, who's with me?" he said once again. |

"I hope he hasn't suffered permanent damage," she remarked inwardly to herself. The gates were open, but Farnham and Acedia had to slow down becasue of a donkey pulling a hay cart that was coming out from the gates. They let it pass. Farnham asked one of the guards: "Where might I find the herbalist?" The guard replied: "His shop is at the town square, next to the blacksmith" Farnham thanked the guard, and then proceded through the gates. |

Meanwhile, back where everyone was setting up camp, Xander was with a few others scouting for good firewood for the fire. "You think that in an area filled with trees there'd be tons of good firewood.." he said to himself. "I bet those drows took all the good wood!" he yelled to the others. Suddenly, they all heard a huge crash. Perahps it was a fallen tree - perhaps it was a drow. Whatever it was, Xander as heading towards it. |

Meanwhile.... Xander approached the place where he thought he heard the noisecome from. He swiftly ran around, hiding behind trees and dodging things that weeren't coming at him. He gave a signal to his other team-mates to be silent here. He then fell down and made a really loud noise. "I'm okay!" he whispered. {{OOC:Psst...join Operation: Storyteller II. Please? }}

Maxwell helped everyone set up tents, and then he got out the trail rations and distributed them to the party members. The trail rations were made up of dried meat, berries, nuts, granola and pretzels. |

The lizzardman looked up at Farnham. "Are we...there yet? Farnham could see the town square now, and he looked around for the blacksmith shop... ah, there it is, and that must be the herbalist shop next to it. "Acedia, see if the Herbalist is in. I'll get Marcus off the horse and join you inside." |

[OOC: Is it OK if I play as Farnham for a quick sec?] Farnham untied Marcus from his horse, lifted him off, & got him on his feet. Marcus could hardly stand up or keep his eyes open. Saliva dribbled from his mouth. "Look at you, Marcus!" Farnham lifted Marcus's eyes open with his fingers. That must have been some powerful tea." "I....I'm jjjj...just tttired. Acedia followed Farnham until they reached the town square, at which point she dismounted her horse. The beast was tired - it wouldn't run off, and obviously was no worthwhile target for some kind of miscreant looking to get away quickly. The horse simply watched its rider through the door of the herbalist's shop. Acedia smiled slightly and nodded a passing greeting to a woman exiting the herbalist's shop. The woman had looked at Acedia's essentially ruined skirts with disdain, but gave a nervous smile and nod in return, out of courtesy. Walking up to the nondescript counter, behind which was absolutely nobody, Acedia took a brief look at the myriad of vials and pouches, extracts, cordials, jars, all manner of things to cure what ailed you - from a simple bump on the head to leprosy, should the claims attached to the shelves be true. There was even a section that claimed to "cure" pregnancy - she shuddered to think exactly how those elixirs worked. {}{}{: There's your daily Extremely Gross Mental Image. |

Marcus looked around at all the vials in the shop. "Ooo...pretty colors...like the ones I saw!" He tried to grab a couple in his claw, but Farnham pulled him back. "No no no, Marcus. We need to get you some Purple Roses, and fast." |

At the Herbalist's shop, Farnham rang the little silver bell that was on the counter. This was answered with a voice from the back room that said: "I'll be with you in a moment." Farnham replied: "If you could hurry, sir. Our friend has been poisoned and we need an antidote." A man wearing a white apron over merchant's clothes rushed in from the back room: "Goodness me, why didn't you say so. Which one is it?" Farnham said: "Him" pointing at Marcus. The Herbalist noded and said: "And what did he take?" Farnham said "Gnomish Tea." The Herbalist nodded grimly "Oh my... Gnomish Tea in a lizzardman... let me see..." The Herbalist got a ladder and climbed up to to reach the high shelfs. He came down with a wooden box that had a number of different pouches and packages in it, as well as an empty glass vial: "I can mix up the antidote for you now, but you'll have to pay in advance. It's fifteen gold please. Farnham reached into his purse and produced fifteen gold peices. He put them on the counter: "Alright, there's your money, but I wanna see that the cure works before you pocket it." The Herbalist nodded: "Fair enough, fair enough. Give me a minute, I have to mix the reagents." The Herbalist went into the back room again. A pounding noise could be heard, then a grinding noise could be heard, then a bubbling noise, then a swishing noise, and finally the sounds of liquid being poured into containers. The Herbalist emerged from the back room with a glass vial that contained a swirling purple liquid caped with a cork. He walked up to Marcus, took the cork out of the vial and said: "Here, drink this. You'll feel better, I promise." |

Meanwhile, back at the camp, the sound a blast hitting Xander roused the party from what they were doing. "That sounds like an explosion!" Said Maxwell. He lit a torch (as it was starting to get dark) and drew his sword. "I think Xander and Micheal are over there. They could be in trouble. Let's go see." Maxwell headed off in the direction the blast noise came from. |

<Hey guys I'm back, welcome to The Noid> Prosper woke up. He was in a small room, most likely a part of a cave, tied tightly to a stalagmite. A little to the left of him, he could see a prisoner of very small stature,most likely a gnome, dwarf or other short hafling breed, in the same predicament as he was. There really was nothing else to do, so he decided to try to converse with his cell mate, while he figgured out how to escape. "Hello, we seem to be in the same predicament." he said. The stranger lifted his face, witch was badly swolen and bruised, and seemed to notice his visitor for the first time. <For anyone wondering I've been capured by accident because of a young gnomish mage's mistake while trying to teleport the ring to the drow. I am in a cave near the drow camp that Xander saw. Ialso have a question for Sarge, do I get to controll the NPC I'm talking to because I'm interacting with it, or is that a GM power only?> |
