Post subject:  HRWF Stock Market
Buy stock in threads. The price of a thread is equal to (the number of posts in the thread)÷(the number of days the thread has existed) OR $10, whichever is greater.The $10 minimum only applies to buying price, not selling price. In other words, buy when a thread is just starting, and sell when it has increased in value. Name the thread you want stock in, how many shares you want, and I'll sell it to you.

Rules:
1. You must sign up to participate.
2. Everyone gets a $100 dollar loan when they sign up. They must pay $300 dollars back when they can afford it.
3. Do not post excessively in threads you have stock in just to make its price go up.
4. All transactions take place in this thread.
5. Any one thread cannot have have more than 25 shares in the market.
6. Any one person cannot own more than 5 shares in any one thread.
7. Stock market players may sell their stocks to the market (represented by me) or to each other. You may charge whatever you like if you are selling to each other, but I only pay the price determined by the formula.
8. Threads that are locked automatically go down to $0.
9. You cannot buy stock in threads you created.
10. If you would not like a thread that you created to be traded, please tell me.
11. Obviously, you can only buy shares you can pay for.
12. You tell me how much a stock costs. If you are found lying, you can no longer play the game.

STupendous7: $84 and 5 shares in "Sickly Sam's Big Outing - Now with (a) colour!" (loan not yet paid)
sci-fi greg: $100 and no shares (loan not yet paid)
AbuGrape45: $100 and no shares (loan not yet paid)

Though you might want to lower the $25 thing. There aren't very many threads that actually get 25 posts a day. Random thoughts is worth about $100, and there aren't many that are even close to that.

EDIT: So how does this work here now... can I sell my 5 shares for $220 now? If so, that's what I wanna do. If not... I guess I'll have to wait till tomorrow.

Can I buy 2 shares of the 'superstitions' thread in R&P. It was started today and has 4 replies so I assume that's $40 each.
Or is it too early to buy shares for this market day?

It'd be $4, but the minimum price is $10. So right now they're 10 each, and the price won't change until it gets above 10 posts per day.

So...um...I guess I'll take 3 shares in "Which user would you eat if you were stranded on an island." So, it's been going since Sunday, and has 32 replies. So, I guess that's

I think that should be like $8 a share. Right? So that means that 3 shares would be $30. (Or has the stock market even opened. I'm so bad at this.)

My shares in superstitions are going nowhere.
Thankfully they are still $10.

So I'll sell those 4 for $40 and by 4 shares in "What do you think of the thread above this one?" also for $40.

So...I guess I'll sell all my shares in Which user would you eat if you were stranded on an island, which would get me back my $30.

And then I'd like to buy 4 shares in "Sloshybowl," which would currently be $14 a share, so that's $56 overall.

Edit: I would also like to spend the rest of my money on "Pet Show" which is currently $10 a share, so that's 4 stocks in Pet show.

Yeah, me too. Hopefully I can remember to get rid of them tonight. :rolleyes:

Edit: Mm kay', I would like to sell all of my 5 shares for $26 a share. So (if my math is right) I should have $214 now. And...I guess I'll repay my loan now too.
