Whew, Fridays = free time.

While the delay was killer, here are the results for the first round of this Caption Contest!

I did not get Senor's scores for this round, so these were just the scores Bug and I gave you all.

Some advice by the judges:
- Sex/rape jokes can get stale fairly fast
- Try and make your captions original; don't follow the crowd with captions about roadkill or something. I found Ju Ju's to be a caption that really stood out this round.

Since this is somewhat obscure, I'll give you all a few references with this image. It is a combination of the lunar eclipse from several months ago and a screenshot of the Man in the Moon in the 1902 movie A Trip to the Moon. If you'd like, you can watch the movie on Youtube--it's not that long (a little over 10 minutes), and actually gives you some knowledge of how movies were like back in the good ol' days.

Remember to try and make the funniest caption possible while being creative (you don't have to follow the references above if you don't want to)! This round will last until Friday, April 11, 2008 at 11:59 PM EST (or possibly sooner if you all submit your entries rather quickly).

Apologies for the possible page stretch; it shouldn't affect anybody else's posts, though.

Also another thing I'd like to mention: Don't get confused and think these scores are out of fifty, they're out of 100. No one broke 50 this time around. You all failed.

I blame your horribly low scores mixing in with my incredibly high scores!

Well...actually...only one person broke 50 by a slight bit with my scoring. So seriously, think a bit before posting your captions and try to make them as funny as you can make them!

Although it was quite entertaining to watch, the gunfight between Abraham Lincoln and the Moon had some odd effects on the tide.

Advice from the judges:
- Remember to be creative with your entries; don't follow the crowd and assume that the image is showing the same thing (in the case of the last round, many of you thought that the moon had a telescope in his eye).
- Remember to post the thumbnail of your image with your caption entry. It makes it easier on us judges.
