Okay, so I'm bored, and have nothing to do. I've been recently playing (and beating) the fourth trial of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. And as such, I decided to come up and go to the forum with an idea. We should make a trial of our own. I mean, not the investigation part, but just the court part. Basics: You have a defendant, a victim, at least four witnesses (one of them can be the detective), a judge, a defense attorney, and a prosecuting attorney. The case synopsis will be given by me for the first trial, and the next one by the winning side of the trial before. All evidence will be given by the prosecution, filed into the court record, and some evidence by the defense. Witnesses will be called to the stand by the Prosecution, and only on certain cercumstances can the defense call a witness. Okay, let's fill in the slots for Case #1! Victim: Gino Defendant: Sloshy Witness #1: Sid Garcia Witness #2: TheFacelessEvil Witness #3: sbe-mail 22 Witness #5: This-Guy __________ Judge: Starcraft Maniac Prosecution: Word Up Defense: It's a lion _______________________________________________________________________________ Case Synopsis: The victim ( Gino ) was allegedly murdered by the defendant ( Sloshy ) with a knife. They were at the Sleeping Tree playing chess when the defendant lost to the victim. A witness (Sid Garcia) claims to have seen the defendant stand up, take a large stake knife out of the sleeve of his jacket, and slice the victim's throat. Another witness claims to have seen the defendant fleeing the scene of the crime. The murder weapon was found tossed on the floor, covered with the fingerprints of the defendant's left hand. A local photagrapher, TheFacelessEvil, happened to take a snapshot of the time of the murder. |

Alright, but you're just mentioned all the time, and don't get to say anything. Any questions? |

Okay, now we just need a defendant, witnesses 1-4, defense, and prosecution. |

I can be a witness. Perhaps related to the victim or something, and thus apt to try and convict the dependent out of fury and rage and thus prone to massive amounts of exaggeration and maybe even lies!? I have no idea how this game works, but just throwing the idea out there.

And with that, Court is now in session. The defense is ready, the prosecution is ready. The prosecution may now present their opening statement. |

Thank you, Your Honor. Ladies and gentlemen, today we hope to bring justice to a heinous crime. The victim, Mr. Gino, was brutally murdered by our defendant. During a stay at The Sleeping Tree, Gino beat Sloshy, and Sloshy became angry. A witness saw him retrieve the weapon and slice the victim's throat. Another witness saw the defendant running from the scene of the crime. The weapon was seen on the floor, covered in the fingerprints of the defendant. Ms. TheFacelessEvil got a picture of the crime. The evidence we retrieved are as follows: Gino's Autopsy Report. So far, they've only seen stab marks and a slice on the throat. A Bloody Knife. The lab sent back results which showed Sloshy's fingerprints all over it. Crime Photo. This clearly shows the defendant committing the crime. The Sleeping Tree Blueprints. The crime was allegedly committed in room 416. "How To": Playing Chess. One of the men involved did not know how to play chess, this evidence plays a major role in the crime. I ask you, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, to carefully consider the evidence and give a fair trial. Thank you. |

Well, ah, ladies, gentlemen, jury members; in this courtroom I intend to prove that the defendant, Mister ah... *checks notes* Sloshy has been impruriously framed for a crime he did not commit! I will prove beyond reasonable doubt that a) sloshy was at the Steeping Tree under false prefences, b) the evidence entered by the prosecution has been tampered with, c) the cake--I mean, the photograph is a lie, and d) there is no such game as "chess," anyway. What kind of nonsense is that? Ah, excuse my outburst. *straightens tie, knocks several papers on floor* Honourable jurymen--and women--this entire case has been brought against my client Mr. *checks notes* Sloshy, based on evidence manufactured by certain factors with a grudge against him. Mr. gino was murdered, but not by Mr. Sloshy. *pauses for a minute* Uh, can I sit down now? Okay? Okay, that's it. |
