(In that case, I'm skipping ahead. Let's just assume he said that the police had a tip that the gun was thrown into the lake, and they found it. And that the Defendant was searched and the Deceased's ring was found in her pocket. The Defendant was by the Deceased's body when the police arrived, the official conclusion being that she came back out of greed after throwing away the gun.)  Due to the nature of this testimony, I am going to have this witness removed. Mr. Prosecutor, please investigate into this bribery accusation and prep your witness in case he needs to be recalled. Due to the fact that the witness is unreliable and the evidence that this court has, I cannot say that it could have been anything more then a prank. The evidence gathered is the following:  Autopsy report: Victim died at 2:33PM, instant death from a wound in the back caused by bullet from a gun. The murder weapon: Found in the lake. No fingerprints. Ballistics show that the bullet in the victim matches this gun. The deceased engagement ring: Found in the defendant's pocket when searched by the police. The photograph of the deceased (click picture for the closer details).The map of the park, marked by the police of notable places/things. (click picture for closer details)Mr. Prosecutor, please call your next witness. (Suggestion: The person who claims to have seen the Defendant throw the gun into the lake, since there were no direct witnesses to the murder. But yeah, decide whatever you want.) |
