Basically, someone posts a fake band name. The next person says some stuff about the made-up band--what kind of music they play, their history, their hits, etc. That person then posts another fake band name.

I'll start:

Saving Grace

(This is a game I made up with my dad. You are not allowed to steal it from my brain.)

Saving Grace is a goth rock band. People who like Evanescense hate it, because it replaces the weird choir vocals and hard guitars with lots and lots of echo-ey keyboards.

Next Big Thing (or NBT, as their fans call them) plays a hybrid form of music combining elements of punk, metal, bluegrass, and chanting. They formed one night in Nashville when attendees from the Vans Warped tour, a Metallica concert, the Grand Old Opry, and a Tibetan freedom conference meet up in the lobby of their hotel, complaining about the slow check-in.
They don't have any hits YET, cus they are the next big thing. Most music industry insiders seem to think their version of EG's "Polar Bear" song will be their big hit.

This is easy. The living dead is made up of the surviving members of the Grateful Dead. They play all of the Grateful Dead hits and can be found at a state fair or jam band fest near you. If you see them at a jam band fest, you can bet Warren Haynes will do at least one song with them.

Those Other Guys, the all-bass band, are set to release their new album next month. The band has a drummer & 3 bass players, one on a 4-string, one 5-string, & one on 6-string. Those Other Guys formed after quitting from their respective bands, where they each felt they were just "the other guy" in the band, & just left.

A really unoriginal band, they steal hits off other bands and change the words slightly. Their songs include: The day before today, (The day before today, all my bad things seemed so over there.) and Tryout movie (it's just for this tryout mo-ovie, which I know about but other people don't!) They haven't been heard of for a while.

A really awful punk band. They think they're cool. Their biggest hit is I'm An Anarchist 'Cause I Drew Something On The Wall Of The School Bathroom. They have 1 fan.

Somebody's Sammich

(Myrrh, we must be telepathetically linked. No, that was not a typo. :P)

A punk rock band that no one really takes seriously. Their first, and only, album (entitled We album good) was just a picture underwater absent of any robotic fish at all. All of the songs on the album try to explain why there is nothing on the cover.

An 8-bit synth-punk quartet notorious for displaying the lyrics to all its songs on LED signs during the shows.

The funny thing is, they're actually a band. At our school though, and that is a very accurate description of them.

Quirky alternative rock band, somewhere along the lines of They Might Be Giants. Only not as good.

Space Bee

If you understand what I'm referencing, you get a gold star.

A post-modern techno funk band. The band broke up in 2003 after lead singer/keyboardist Jack Blaskotch died in a drug overdose induced car crash, killing himself and wrecking the band's only drum-set in the process.

Bad art-rock band. They think that "art-rock" is painting pictures of rocks. Therefore, their latest CD consists entirely of paintings somehow.

A band made up of 5 Sharks With Frickin' Laser Beams Attached to Their Heads...who all play tambourine. Needless to say, their album sales are slow.
