yeah, and everyone else follows. when you reach the top, theres a one hallway, several doors, some are bolted and backed, and some are opend. few of the windows are open, and in the front two rooms are the spellcasters.

He is cut off due to one of the peoples outside's Magic Missle.

now there are two dead people in that room. one looks vicously slaughtered, the other is the oen you saw just get shot. theres a dresser in there, but theres nothing of interest inside. the room nextdoor has another spellcaster.

in the other room, the spellcaster turns towards you and says
"ahh, you guys! we have been expecting you! the Yith are wait-"
and he gets hit with a magick missle also. everyone you try to save dies!!!! well, taht room is filled ewith nothing. there a room accross the hall with some bunk beds, maybee you guys should check in there.

theyve stopped shooting, all the shooters in the house are dead. upon entering the room accross the hall, you see what seems to be more cult members Sleeping. there seems to be some sort of Glass bottle by the side of everyone sleeping. theres one of the bottles on the table right in front of you.

Cyanide and Rat Poison Mixed Together to create an ultimate poison! theres one bottle of poison left, you guys might need it. ohh yeah, and SANITY ROLL! this time, roll a D20 to see if you take any damage/ or go insane/ know how much more insanity you take on.

Just to be clear: What exatly is an "Insanity Hit"?
It's not on D20.org or in any sourcebook I've ever read.

its a thing that i made up for my Campaigns when i play with my friends. an insanity hit is when you disscover something that is so horrifying, so bleedingly massacred, or something like that, that your character begins to panic, start shaking, maybee using his weapon at an innapropriate time, or just starts hearing voices, or, if it is a really big Insanity hit,(say like.... watching a Demon rip through many people in a bloodied up massacre), that you even take your own life. but nothing of that nature is gonna happen until later and when you guys are more experienced.

It might be a good idea to let us make rolls contesting the Insanity hits however, I'm at -4 to all my rolls and if I get any more penalties, I won't be able to do much as a 1st lev. character.

Of course even in CoC you are able to make a save before gaining any Insanity points. Ah well...

everyone but HG doesnt take the hit. HG, your Everything is impared for the next coupla rounds, its a -2 on all saving throws, Sneak Rolls, Pick Lock, and all those things that require Quietness.

Allright, now what, you guys? there are two doors on this side where the room your in's door is. theres still that screaming coming from the library downstairs where that trapdoor is.

its more of a "Body in Extreme Pain and Agony" type scream. okay, i assume that the rest of you guys follow along. yeah, you enter the Library, and theres the Trapdoor. no special key or nothing needed, Just put your hand in the handle, and lift. shouldnt be too hard, ehh? and to top it off, it looks like the Handle had recently been replaced with a newer one, only because there is a bit of rust stains on the board of the trapdoor.
