OK, I leveled up. As a human fighter with 10 INT, I get three skill points per level, and since I leveled up twice, that's six. Since Dicipline is a Class skill, I spent all six on that skill. I get a Fighter Bonus Feat at LVL 2, so I picked Power Attack for that. I'm not sure if I get another feat in there or not becasue D20.org doesn't explain how the regular (non-bonus) Feat advancement goes. Little help, please?

Oh, and I'm buying a +1 Longsword and selling my old one.
If I calculated it correctly, the new sword will cost 2,315 GP, minus the trade-in on the old sword (like new, only used once!) of 7.5 GP. So, that's an effictive cost of 2307.5 GP, so that leaves me with 1702.5 (To simplfy things, I'm not using Silver Peices here, just tenths of a GP).

Oh, and I decided to flesh out my charcter a bit more with some background.

Sarge of Lonelywood is a Fighter and adventurer from the small logging town of Lonelywood, one of the Ten Towns of Icewind Dale. As a boy, Sarge was insipired by a group of heroes who had come north to the Spine Of The World, and then further north to Lonelywood. These heroes used Lonelywood as a base of operations during their fight to save the town from the evil forces that threatened it, eventualy battling and killing a Great Dragon (called Icasaracht), returning peace to the town. The heroes then departed for parts unknown, saying they had other quests to persue.
Like his father, Sarge worked in the local sawmill for a living. However, when Sarge was 19, the entire town was forced to flee south ahead of a rampaging army of goblins. Sarge ended up in the town of Luskin, where he was hired on as a recruit in the Town Watch and trained as a fighter. However, the goblin army was defeated by the intervention of the Archdruid Of Kulduhar, and Luskin soon therafter disbanded it's new companies of raw recruits. His family went back north to rebuild, but the adventuring bug now had a hold on Sarge.

Post subject:

Sounds good to me.

Is multi-classing (leveling up in a class other than the one you began with) allowed? It might be a good idea to have someone with a level or two in cleric or wizard for when the usual spellcaster isn't on the forum.

Author:  Sarge [ Tue Mar 14, 2006 12:56 am ]
Post subject:

Well, multiclassing is part of the core AD&D rules, so I'm gonna assume that Choc-o allows them.

Multiclassing is detailed at http://www.d20srd.org/srd/classes/multiclass.htm

In my opinon, you're usualy better off not multiclassing your character. The party as a whole is stronger when all the PC are single-class characters.
The only execption is when one uses the Prestige Classes, which are fairly cool.

Author:  Krazed Squirell [ Tue Mar 14, 2006 2:36 am ]
Post subject:

Yeah, we're still a ways off from Prestige Classes popping up in the party. Normally I would agree with Sarge on the multi-classing thing, but in this case I stand by my 'we're not all here all the time' argument. Still, it would be best to wait and hear COLA's take on this.
