Hello, and welcome to Forumopolis of Olde. We've been having a bit of a problem latley, what with the hobgoblins and dragons and all. But luckily, you are some person who has decided to kill them all because they killed your family or something! That way we don't have to pay you! haha!

Please sticky this, it is meant to be long term and very involved.

No, seriously. This is the game of forumopolis dungeons. Instead of a humongous 5 paragraphs of describing the landscape to you, here's a map-

I'll explain each part of the awesome map in-depth.

-The town is your basic town. Food shop, Inn, Potions shop,equipment, Spell Shop,and bulliten board.
--Food shop-Basic food and drink.
Prices-
Slab of Meat-30 WikiBux(Heals 12 health and 3 mp and 5 ep)
Turkey Sammich-30 Wikibux(Heals 10 health and 5 mp and 5 ep)
Chipps(Bag-5 servings each)-15 Wikibux(Heals 5 health and 5 mp and 5 ep per serving)
Burger-30 Wikibux(heals 20 health and 15 mp, and 10 ep)
Steak-50 WikiBux(Heals all health and all mp)
Water-5 WikiBux(Heals 10 EP)
Root Beer-15 Wikibux(heals 10 EP and 5 health)
Booze-20 WikiBux(Heals 10 EP and 5 health)

Inn- 10 WikiBux a stay.

Potions-buy some potions!
All Party Potion-20 Wikibux(Heals 5 hp, 5 mp to all members of the party)
Graveyard Potion-15 WikiBux(Brings 1 of the dead back to life)
Magic Up Potion-20 WikiBux(Brings your Magic up by 5 points for 10 turns)

Bulliten Board-This is where I will post announcements. New items in the shop, new discoveries outside the town, ect.
-Game Started.

-? Is unknown. You will need to have 3 party members and all will need to reach level 10 before you journey here.

-The Field is a good place for beginners to adventure. Basic enemies that are easily defeated are found here. But some say that there is a certain spot where you can dig to find the dwarf's sacred temple, where much more difficult creatures are found.

-The Forest is a bit more difficult. Only level 3 and up players are reccomended to go here. Deep within, you may find the lair of the Trahm, where a sacred treasure worth thousands and thousands of WikiBux is guarded by a dragon only known as GROGDOR!(Hahaha.)

-The Caves are reccomended to players level 6 and up. Some say that there is a whole other world deep in the caves, populated by creatures only the devil could dream of. But there lies the strongest sword in all Forumopolis of Olde, and some say that it is the only way to defeat the infamous Tarra.

-Tarra's Dungeon is reccomended to players level 9 and up. Room upon room of dastardly creature await you, but then the real challange comes, as the final room is occupied by the hideous creature some call the devil, Tarra. If you defeat him, you will be reverd across the lands and declared a hero.

So here's how it works. You start out at Level 0. You need a certain amount of EXP to gain a level.
50 to level one.
100 more to level 2.
150 more to level 3.
200 more to level 4.
250 more to level 5.
And so on, adding 50 every time you gain a level.
There are many monsters in the world of FoO.
The Field-
Rat(of course)-Worth 5 EXP.
Hob Goblin-worth 10.
Field Bum-Worth 15
Huuuuudge-Worth 20.

Forest-
Tree-Worth 10.
Clump of Grass-Worth 10.
Teeth Mongrel-Worth 15.
Space Tree-Worth 25.

Caves-
Bat-Worth 15
Rock Monsta-Worth 20
Holy Crapazoid-Worth 25
Space Bat-Worth 35

Dungeons-
Xombie-Worth 20
Haunted Seal-Worth 25
Crazy Duck-Worth 30
Frankenshteen-Worth 40
Terra-Worth 200.

Of course, events may occur where you find something that gives you PP, HP, MP, or EXP.

Stats-
Stats work like this-

HP-Health Points. You know how these work.
MP-Muscle Points. You need muscle points to fight.
EP-Endurance Points. You need these to travel.

See? Basic. When you level up, you gain points. I will tell you how many points you have. You always start out with 50 HP, but differnt MP and EP depending on your class.

Warrior-A basic warrior. Good for fighting, and a balance EP.

Archer-Long Range fighter. They can attack flying creatures. Low EP And MP.

Magician-Can cast spells. Low MP, Blanced EP.

HOW TO PLAY-

I am the Dungeon Master. Yes I know, not original. I control all. I present each player with a scenario, and they react to this. PLayers can only post once after I post. After all players post, I will post another scenario. However, at the beginning of the game, everyone starts out at the town, and get set for their journey, establish parties, ect. EVERYONE NEEDS TO JOIN A PARTY OF AT LEAST 3 OR MORE, AND GIVE THEMSELVES A NAME. After getting that done, every party can set out, and in every one of my posts, I will present each party with a scenario. We continue in this fashion.
You may go back to the town whenever you like, it will cost 5 EP.
Every time you travel to a place, it costs 5 EP.

You start out with 500 WikiBux. At the end of each battle, I tell every team what they collected.

Well, this is interesting, considering I was trying to make my own RPG. I don't think it would be wise for me to release mine while this one is active, but I suppose studying this one from the inside might help me in developing a proper system of mechanics.

Are runes like magical batteries that don't run out or are they more like ammo that needs to be replenished?

What kind of RPG is it, because if it's that dice kind i'm not in.
But if it's the kind where you fight like in my olde fanfic Journey to victory, then COUNT ME IN Bra!

@ Somm-1- Thanks for the map. Runes are like magical batteries, but when you use a specific amount, those dissapear. I'll replace the map.

@ IK-Nah, it's not a dice rolling thing. It's like Dungeons and Dragons, but no dice. If that's ok, I'll put you on the list. You have to buy equipment, however, and do not start with anything. I'll add a Ninja to the Classes list, and you can be that, since katana warrior and ninja are basically the same.

See what I mean? They need strengths and weaknesses

For starters, prohibit the Ninja's use of Chain Mail.
My reason for this is that Ninjas rely on skill and dexterity.If the Ninja wore chain mail then acrobatics wouldn't come easy.

A more debatable issue is the weaponry. The Ninja's Katana is a cheaper and stronger version of the sword. More for less doesn't seem very fair. Depending on how much of a loss the Ninja takes from lack of chain mail, either swap the price or swap the damage between the Katana and the Sword.

What about archers? Does the ability to attack from a distance give them an advantage? Like being hit less? Or does this game really calculate distance?

I noticed that you took the suit of armor away from the Ninja as well. What exactly does the suit of armor consist of? Would it be mostly Leather? Would it be reasonable if you were to have the suit of armor available to archers, but not chain mail? And what about magicians?

I'm not trying to be demanding, it's just that contemplation goes on autopilot with me sometimes. Further consideration is encouraged and whatever you decide is fine with me.

Don't quit on my account. Mine only looks like that because I do almost everything with tools. The rest is done pixil by pixil till it looks decent. It's an effective method, but slow. As far as freehand goes, yours are pretty good and much better than my freehand I might add.
