Honestly, I don't care how long signups take. At least I don't need 110 people, like in the real game show.

If this goes to being desperate, I could use some of the guys in my email address book as surveymen. Also, a note: If this game goes through, the first 10 surveymen to sign up will be the default players in Part 2, the second 10 in Part 3, and so on. I added this because, to be honest, being a surveyman isn't really going to be that fun. Now you get a payoff!

Make mroe sense if forum-members are surveymen, though, so we can test to see if we know other forum memebrs enough to knwo what they'd answer.

I guess. Anyway, what do you think of the payoff-to-surveymen idea?

*raises hand*

Hey, why don't some of us peoples that are already signed up try and corral in some other peoples? It wouldn't hurt to try.

Well, that is what Badri3211 tried earlier. Maybe I could also change my signature to this:

Quote:

BTW, how do you link using a different word than the URL? Sorry for sounding like a "n00b", because, truth be told, I am one. :p

The code for urls is:
Code:
[url]www.somethingsomething.odd[/url]
[url=www.somethingsomething.odd]Something Something[/url]

The first line of code would just wrap an ordinary url in the "underline url on mouse-over and insert hyperlink" feature, like so: http://www.homestarrunner.com
The second line of code will do the same thing, only instead of displaying the url it will display whatever text you type after closing the brackets of the url= code but before opening the brackets of the /url code. Like so H*R Website
You can also mix it up with bold, italics, etc. [s]not a real website[/s]

You could be a surveyman. Also, you should put "Surveymen needed" In the title of the thread, so it'd be "Family Feud: Forum Edition - Surveymen Needed". That usually helps get more people.

It would be a bit unfair if I were a surveyman. I mean, I'm the one thinking up the questions, so...

Yeah, that would violate the Game Show Ethics Code.

Sarge inherited the data bank of goody host
Obviously, DUH! :p
So he knows all about what game show hosts should and should not do, regis broke that code and demons should be gnawing on his soul any minute now.

Ah. I'll be recruiting players and surveymen via private message. Is that ethical?

I say:
Only if you already are familiar with the people you're PMing. Cold-calling is unethical in my book.

IN other news>
This game probably holds the record for longest pre-game sequence ever on this forum.

Hey, you know me. Sort of. Too bad I'm already signed up.

I know this is a huge disappointment to everybody that signed up, but I'm seriously considering cancelling this game and replacing it with something else. Don't worry though; the people that signed up will get to play the game that replaces this one! So, this game won't be dying per se, it just will be drastically changed beyond recognition. Now I know that it was a huge mistake to call for 30 people. I guess that Family Feud is not a game for forums with this few members.. that.. want to play.. the game. Anyway, I'm going to put a poll up on the front page for what game to play, right after I think up some options. Big thanks to all the people that did sign up. Bye.

IO say we keep this thread going in a semi-pointless manner, and then we eventualy will have the record for the longest forum-game pre-game ramblings.
Or, we could play some Family Feud. Either one is good for me.

OK, but remember, these are all real game shows. Meaning Greed was a real (albeit short-lived) game show. So check Wikipedia before you vote.
