Welcome to Hangstar Manner! Hangman done Homestar Runner style! Here's how it works... The rules are like Hangman, except... The word/phrase must be related to Homestar Runner (the cartoon, not the character). Make guesses by posting, not PMing. There are 10 guesses for each round, but if your word/phrase is very long, you can add more if you want, at the start. The guesses go by one point for each letter guess and incorrect answer guess. A Guesser may make no more than two guesses in a row. This can be two letters, two answer guesses, or a letter and an answer guess. A Guesser you cannot guess more than one letter per post. If there are no guesses left, go into negative numbers, and give a hint. The player who guesses the word correctly or gets the final answer of the word/phrase becomes the new person to come up with a word/phrase. Remember to be active if you guess a word/phrase correctly and become the new "Caller"! If the caller does not reply in a couple of days when there are new guesses, there will be a new caller. If there are just no replies after the Caller's post, then the Caller should post again, only guessing a letter (correct or incorrect) to keep the game going. The Caller can do this more than once if needed. Please don't do anything crazy, disrupt the game, or break the rules. Okay, them's the rules. For the people who are the "Callers" (the guys who make up the word and call whether the guesses are correct or not), here's a template... _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ (Add _'s for each letter. Replace them with letters when someone gets a letter right. Double space to seperate words.) Letters: ? (How many letters there are in the word/phrase. Optional.) Guesses Left: ? (Starts at 10 (usually, if word is long, you can add more when you start out), subtract by 1 for every letter guess and incorrect answer guess. Give a hint if you reach 0 guesses left, then go into negative numbers.) Wrong Guesses: ? (Add any incorrect letters or guesses here.) Right Answers: ? (Add any correct letters in here. Optional.) By the way, does this also mean if you guess a letter and then figure out the puzzle, you have to wait for someone else to guess before you can solve the puzzle? That's what I take it to mean, but I want to be sure. |

That's what I take it to mean, but I want to be sure. Yes, to put it more clearly...A Guesser may make no more than two guesses in a row. This can be two letters, two answer guesses, or a letter and an answer guess. I'll clarify that on the rules. Anyways, since Ian guessed twice in a row, ignore his "G" guess. And I'l guess...B as in bold or Bubs. |
