Well, I recall that somehow the tape's not-workage was caused by a human. And the player itself is broken... and the problem isn't apparent...

Not sure if this has been asked already, but...
Have any living humans been to the radio station since Person 1 left?

Is Person 2's body still at the station?

No

Irrelevant (But I assume yes)

And, to clarify, you can't tell specifically what the problem is from the outside.

Was the play-other-side function broken?

Did the "flip and play other side" function require Person 1 to specially set up the machine to do so? If so, did he simply forget in his panic to set it up to do that?

Yes (Assuming you mean the automatic tape flipper)

No

Now the only thing to find out is what caused the tape flipper to break. (This is the small part I added. The way I heard it, the tape flipper being broken was due to an unrelated event, it happened by chance, and I found that sort of... unfufilling, I guess. So I changed it a bit)

Did Person 2 break or turn off the tape flipper function?

Is the method Person 1 used to kill Person 2 relevant to why the tape flipper part was broken?

Yes. I think that's close enough toi finished

So, the full story. Person 1 is at work, DJing, when suddenly, his boss, Person 2, comes into the room and tells Person 1 that he's fired. In a fit of rage, Person 1 smashes the tape player, which is in front of him at the time, then takes out a gun and shoots Person 2, killing him. Realizing what he'd done, he put on a tape of one of his old shows as a way to divert suspicion long enough for him to get far away, and began to play it. He then left, and switched the radio station in his car to the one he had just been out. However, while driving, after a song had finished, he heard dead air. Realizing this was due to a problem with the tape flipper which he had caused before killing his boss, and that he wouldn't have enough time to get away, he continued driving until he found a cliff, which he drove off of.

I've got some more of these riddles, so if anyone's still interested in this game after those 9 pages, I'll have a new one up sometime tomorrow, hopefully. Congrats to all who helepd solve the first.

Ok, riddle #2. This is probably the most famous one, but I still doubt it's well known. I've tweaked this one, too, moreso than the other one, because both versions of this I've heard involved magic, which someone wouldn't expect to have in one of these. Anyways

Person 1, just coming back from a cruise, walked into a resturaunt. On the menu, he saw the special was roast albatross (an ocean bird), so he ordered it. When it came, after taking one bite, he went outside, pulled out a gun and shot himself.

(Yes, most of these involve people killing themselves)

Good luck, once again.

Is the waiter who served the man his food relevant? Is the chef who cooked the man his food relevant? Is the destination (or one of the destinations) of the cruise relevant?

Is the relevant destination one that is home to the albatross he feasted on before killing himself? Is the particular species of albatross relevant?

Like in the last story, let's call the man who killed himself Person 1, and any other people that come into play Person 2, person 3, etc. as and if they come. I'll change the riddle accordingly. (Changing "The man" to "Person 1")

Did the man know something was going to happen after he took the bite? Would it be something unpleasent?

Is what he noticed about the bite relevant?

Is the albatross relevant AT ALL?

Did a wizard do it? :P

(EDIT: I just looked it up on the Internet. And since I looked it up, I can't help any more.)
