Just keep trying. I had to try like 20 times before I got it. I finally just beat the 3.3 today. Now I have to wait for more levels.

If anyone has beaten level 1 and 2, if you have any time please make a walkthrough for level 2.

Finished walkthrough for 1.2 and the boss. Now somebody will probably create one for 2.1 soon, because I hate making something just to have it already completed when I finish my version. I'll probably create one now anyway just to avoid being lazy.

AWESOME game. Just beat it a few minutes ago. It was pretty hard before, but it gets easier once you figure out the patterns.

I hope they stick with this theme for a while. I'd love to see more levels for Stinkoman before they make any other H*R-based games.

Since it shows version (levels 1-3 available), that's a dead giveaway, more coming soon. Anyway, anyone know where I can get a sprite sheet?

When I defeated one of the blue floating hover thingies (level 1.2, first series of floating platforums) a red fire semicircle (from my shot) stayed. I had been right next to it when I shot it. Did this happen to anybody else?

Awesome game... it took me a little while to beat it.

I too, copied the files to my computer to try and edit the xml and make my own level. But when I open it on my own pc he does the falling to his death thing in level 1. This doesn't happen in my browsers.

I tried to find the answer on here but couldn't find it. How do I fix that problem?

You need to make sure you have ALL the required files, and that they're in the right folders.

Folder stinkogame
stinkogame.html
stinkogame.swf
objectLibrary.swf
-----Folder levelData
----------level1.1.1.xml
----------level1.1.2.xml
----------level1.2.1.xml
----------level1.2.2.xml
----------level1.3.3.xml

The blue falling error is caused when the game finds the gameswf and the object library, but cannot find the levels themselves (in the levelData folder) to start with.

This is odd. I just found that the game stores separate save data for hometarrunner.com and http://www.homestarrunner.com

That's nothing. I've gone all the way to 3.1 without getting hit. Those rainclouds are a pain in the albatross, though.

I finally got everything working. I had just forgot to put the "levelData" folder inside the stinkogame folder.

Sidenote: Editing the levels is hard work. I can make levels but they are not near as good as the actual ones used. I'm horrible at this. I'm trying to re-create a donkey kong like level with the ladders and all. lol.

I don't know why everybody here is asking "how do I beat it" or why anyone would need a walkthrough. It's your basic side-scroller.

You just keep going right until your not dead and you win. There aren't really any puzzles to solve other than figuring out the patterns of the enemies (including the boss).

It brings back many memories. I have always loved sidescrollers like Mario, Sonic, Mega Man, Metroid (original)-- gah so many awesome games of long past. The NES days man, those were awesome.

I've always thought the older games are more challenging than the newer ones of today. Maybe that's because the new games are so long with save points and what not?

I've always loved side-scrollers. Commander Keen and Rayman were some of my favorites. The reason old games are so much harder is because back then, developers had to worry about things other than good graphics.

Finally, I beat the game! It only took, like, two or three frikin' weeks, but I beat it! Yay! I can't wait for more levels to come! Or to be able to use that fist statue!

Woo Hoo! I got to level 3.2! But I wasn't able to beat that two-fist thing. I like the line "I wonder if I've jumped over that wall yet."

EDIT: I finally beat it! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :eekdance: :eekdance: :eekdance: Anyways, I can't wait to see what Stinkoman does with the giant hand.

Every site that you can access as both whatever.com and http://www.whatever.com will have a different cookie set for each, since the browser can't be sure it's not a different site. So they will have seperate cookies and hence different saved spots unless the cookies are set to be sent to "anywhere in .homsetarrunner.com" which evidently they aren't. [/geek mode]

I beat this game on the first day. It was really hard, but I got the hang of it after two hours

Finally beat in a couple of days. Yay!

The EASIEST boss to me was Brody. I only got hurt twice.

Same with Stlunko. I just jumped and hit the S button like crazy.
Tampo gave me some trouble, though.

I agree on Stluko, but Brody was moderate and Tampo was too
