I'd been talking with people on HR wiki about a Lappy 486 simulator application, in which you could check emails, delete emails, and reply to emails, along with a bunch of other cool Lappy stuff. Naturally, I thought this was an amazing idea. Then I decided I would create a Lappy 486 simulator in Multimedia Fusion. A few days later, I came out with a version 1.0, which is hosted in this post. So, anyone who has been looking for a Lappy simulator, this is the place to go.

I am open to suggestions for the next version, so drop whatever you would like to see added to the Lappy 486 here. The currently released versions are:
Version 1.1 The same as 1.0 except for a fixed music file issue.
Version 1.0 Music files are broken.

Please note that Lappy 486, Strong Bad, and the rest of the Homestar Runner world is copyrighted to Mike and Matt Chapman, and that this simulator was made for noncommercial fan-based purposes only. So please don't sue me.

My suggestion is that print_million_dollar_bill,_please.exe actually prints one and the others say GET A JOB!

Also, typing dooj should launch an explosion.

It does. Dooj.exe gives you the button, and you click it to blow up the Lappy.
There are hidden .exe commands all over the place, by the way, you mouse over stuff to find them. I feel that brings the "Easter egg hunting" that is so popular in SBemails to the simulator.

Hey, you got the deleted screen wrong. The DELETED screen on the lappy is an explosion showing the female Lappy with fangs.

Sincerely, I was hoping of more commands, more Sbemails and the Female Lappy could talk with me with her poor-english sentences.

I'll incorporate female Lappy into version 1.1 sometime, but there were quite a bit of commands, there might be some that you missed. Remember to use the mouse to find commands.

Ok, I'll change that for 1.1 sometime. I must of been thinking of the Compy 386 when I made the delete screen.

Great Job! I was toying around with this all afternoon.
And this was a spinoff from one of my ideas, so I am like, inspiration!

No the command prompt ON the dooj button, not the one that activates it.

Btw, who has found the Temple of Apshai minigame? Or any of the two secret music screens?

temple_of_apshai.exe

Needs "text_quest.exe".

Y'mean like, for a text adventure like Thy Dungeonman?

And, for people who have seen the shoddy "explosion"... I know it sucks. I like the BSoD, though.
Most importantly...
Should I send this in as Weekly Fanstuff?

For some reason entering "takingbacksunday.exe" causes the game to stop working, forcing me to close it. Is there something that could be done to fix this?

Would it be possible to make an Apple version of this application?

Well, I run Windows, and have no method of conversion, so, no. Sorry.

Same for "queensofthestoneage.exe".

Ooh, must have forgotten to encode the MP3s...
I'll have this up for 1.1, sorry about that. Glad you found them, though.
EDIT:
The download folder for 1.1 on Mediafire now contains the necessary files in order to run those two files.

Can anyone else hear the opening sound effects (moon computer, possums, check me out, etc)?

Um, what? This is the kind of thing Strong Bad deletes... What do you mean by "contributions"? Credit for spelling it right, though.

I think I could, and incorporate it into SCG4APS1.5 (see thread)
