You mean THIS objectLibrary.swf? Nice jorb, Chorch! I'ma try fiddling with this a bit, but I'm not sure about how many files are needed off of the site, such as objecLibrary.swf (which I didn't know about until I read your post). Maybe the debugger would reveal all of the required files?

Yeah I watch it, and yes it does look like a cylon centurian's eye.

You know how you can skip cutscenes by clicking on it? Well if you do it for the last one (the end of the game) you can go to a secret level. It works for me anyways. I think you have to do it right after you beat the boss. Well sometimes it works... at least it used to work... Arg I just tried it and it won't work! Oh well...

Sweet mother of Megaman, this is awesome. I just beat it and can't wait for more levels. I love the cut scenes. "I must find that chicken!" "But Pan Pan's been kidnapped...."

Not that many files are necessary. See the Page 2 post by Prophet for a list of the files you need and where they go. I'm upset that I don't have more time to play with this now. Looking forward to what you come up with. If I were you, the first thing I would do would be to create a single object that appears at the beginning of the level, and just try every possible object class/type combination to get a listing of what's what. Then determine the coordinate boundaries, etc. Doing this by hand is going to be very rough.

this is the best game on H*R ever!
addict'd!

By the way, there's also an xml file for each level.
1.1.1
1.1.2
1.2.1
1.2.2
1.3.3
and so on

so if you edit those you might be able to create your own level
that'd be so awesome
anyone wanna give it a try?

edit: YES! It so worked! I'm gonna make my own level!

I haven't passed it. I'm on 3.1. I can't get past it because I'm too busy dodging clouds to get the nuggets, and when I destroy a raindrop, I usually miss the nugget, because I'm avoiding clouds.

Yes, a very amusing Homestarian parody of a Megaman game, from the music and general look to the enemies to the often-frustrating difficulty level, precise platform jumping (give me one Megaman that doesn't have tiny little platforms over instant death spikes), and the classic "climb 'n' shoot on ladders" sections.

Very well made. A fine addition to the Videlectrix library.

Boy, I'm bad at that game. After much trying, I finally got to level 1.2, but I barely got past the first screen. Then I found out that it saves for every full level, not the fractions of levels. For sooth!

no, it saves fractions. you click level one, then you can chhoose what fraction you want. except for the boss on 1.3, i had to redo 1.2 to fight him again after i quit....im on 2.1 now.

Yeah, I couldn't figure out whenit saved at first. I thought it would save at stages instead of levels. This game is pretty tough.

Thanks to all the people who answered my question I asked. You guys are great.

I'm in the process of cataloging the objects. I will try to compile a tutorial of some kind when I have finished. You are getting an error because there is no XSLT style info associated with the XML document. Save it to disk and open it in a text editor to view the contents.

thanks Prophet, but you had a typo on your help page.

You had 1.1.2 twice, you need to change the second one to 1.2.2
edit: I put all of those files as you said, still nothing, will continue to try

Yippee, joining specifically for this topic.

Regarding the level editing guide of Chorch, I'm starting to play around to see if I can create my own levels now, but I notice a few discrepancies with his guide and, for lack of a better word, reality.

I was going through the XML for 1.1.1, and I notice Y values peaking at 352 (not 299) and lowest at -512 (not 0). I'm not sure exactly how these values work, I'm just trying to get my head around the objects themselves first, and possibly working on something in Excel (or Access) to assist in placement of objects. (Maybe have it generate a text file when I'm done, I'm still thinking.)

Anyway, love the game. But it doesn't save for me so I'm only on level 2.1 :(

This brings me back to classic side-scrollers on the original NES. It's a very fun game. I'm quite impressed. Duck A L'Orange's rating: Like fangoriously world-class and grand!

Darn this game is slow... I don't get it, peasant's quest is huge and it runs fine. I totally forgot to check for updates, and everything I wanted to say has already been said.

But when I got to level 1.2 and died and went back to the menu, I still couldn't click on continue, so I had to start over. How do I continue?
