was this from any video game in particular, or did TBC make this music? I'd like to be able to download it somehow if I could. |

Most of the music on the site is pretty amateurish. This may be to add to the comedic effect, but my guess is that the authors aren't quite musically skilled enough to have made this music, and they outsourced the work to a friend, or perhaps even a professional. Either way, I extracted the music from the Flash file and uploaded them to my web server. Links below. Level 1 Level 2 Level 3 (1) Level 3 (2) Boss If anybody is interested, I did a Google search for free flash decompiler and found a shareware app that extracted all the sounds as mp3s, then I found the music files and renamed them. This can no doubt be done with other .swf files. BTW, these would probably make good ringtones. |

Don't bother with both lvl 3 files, they're identical. |

SOmething about the level one music reminds me of Knightman's stage from Megaman 6. I guess it's supposed to remind you of megaman games. I'll have to check the similarities later. |

What it really reminds me of is the old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade game. I really love that music, especially the tune of "Burning Building" |

I love the stinkoman music. I have an affinity for old videogame music. Like, for example, I feel like I'm the only guy with all the Sonic levels from all the games in MIDI format (http://www.espiokaos.com -- to dload all of them) and listen to them leisurely for fun. lol. |

How come they don't have the "20X6" music when Stinko Man's doing all those animé action poses? |

Yeah, the one that reminds me the most of Sonic is Level 2. Sounds almost exactly like it. |

They actually have most of the game's music, as well as tunes from the other games, on the Videlectrix Home Page. |

I've transcribed the Level 1 music as a midi, and put it at http://www.vgmusic.com/new-files/20X6_1.mid (click this, then click the link on that page - ignore the error message, it just says you didn't find the file by browsing their site) If/when it gets added to the main site I'll have to change the link, but that's probably not going to happen soon, there's still songs in the submission queue dated in 2003... I'll do the others too, when I get around to it... |

Are you referring to the music used in the original email, Japanese Cartoon? The music you hear in that email is a MIDI version of the music from Rad Racer for the NES. It didn't really make sense to use the same music from another video game, so I'm sure that's why they switched it. I've always been kind of a video game music afficionado (I can play the Mario 2 theme on guitar, for cryin' out loud), and I gotta hand it to the person that wrote the Stinkoman music. It's pretty good, especially the music for the chicken bone cutscene. |

Nice! I got the Flash Decompiler, and It's good for gettin' music or sprites rather then just making a reproduction, which don't always turn out... -Melon

well, now they have higher quality files of the level 1 and 2 music as well as some cutscene music on Videlectrix.com. now all we need is the music from the "try level" screen, the main title music, the controls screen music, and the level 4 music |

The free version of Flash Decompiler will only export sounds as 11kHz, ie very low quality. But it is very useful to play the sounds one at a time, which you can then record with Audacity or whatever is your preference. That's how I made the sounds for this |

I realised just after I posted that the files were still uploading (stupid slow ftp server...), you might have caught it half-done. Give it another go. |
