Why aren't they making that 10th level?! I check every week for it and it doesn't appear! It's driving me crazy!

Does anyone know what the hold-up is?

Strong Bad Email, the Halloween toon, and life away from the internet are all things that come to mind...

I know! It's been almost a month since the last time the game was updated! How long does it take to make one level?

I demand more things for free! :p

They'll update when they're ready. I'm sure they've been working on it.

Well they haven't updated yet this week, so I'm hoping they'll post it tommorow, though I'm somehow doubting that.

It's been two months I'm pretty sure... it was in September, before Hurricane Rita (which I had to evacuate from).

Probably... it's just a really huge last level comprised of 3 stages instead of two with a boss that probably requires a lot of animation and programming... and the holiday toons and stuff too yeah.

I'm sure they're working on it. I predict it will arrive in December.

Well better late than never.

As I predicted, it didn't come this week. Oh well.

December? I'm leaning more towards January, after the Decemberween toon comes out. Otherwise both of the things quality may be compromised.

January, eh? That's quite a wait.

Well it better be good if it's gonna take this long, but I'm sure it will be. After all, I hoped for a grand finale for the end of Lost's 1st Season, and I wasn't dissapointed. I'm sure this will be the same.

I prefure toons and emails, I am starting to loathe stinkoman. But I think TBC are putting it on hiatus just to tick off the stinkoman fanboys.

This is pretty much my opinion on this. They're probably not updating it becasue they want to make it awesome.

That would be me all right!

Well actually, I'm not really a fan of Stinkoman. I just like his game.

3 stages, eh? Yeah, that would be cool! Then the boss stage would be Level 10.4.

By the way, does anyone know where to find mirrors of the old versions of the Stinkoman games? In other words, the first version that contains the first three levels, then the version that contains four, then five, and so on.

I'm getting sick and tired of waiting for it. It look's like they're just not going to do it.

Chill out, man! It'll happen when it happens. Just give TBC a chance to get some other major things done, after that I'm pretty sure they'll get going on it.

Actually no I think they abandoned it all together as I predicted on this very board that they would. Good evidence towards that is that they have never gone this long between updates.

Not to be a jerk, but that's like testifying that some guy didn't kill someone because the real killer wouldn't wait so long.

Why not look on the bright side and think; "Golly! it must be really good if it's taking them this long!"

There are only too many reasons why that is completely and totally illogical. Gaming projects by non-companies(people like you, me, and TBC) are almost never completed. So an assumption of abandonment is not at all an unreasonable thought.

Well, considering WE pay their wages, I doubt TBC will just stop. Homestar isn't like little places like http://www.notfunnycrap.nobodycares, it's a buisness. And all good buisness' are reliable on making the consumer happy (the consumer being us). TBC are smart enough to know this and so that is why they will finish the Stinko-Series.

Yeah but your not thinking of it clearly. Unlike many of those other projects... designing Stinkoman (though I am sure is tough) is not all that hard since each level is comprised of the same type of programming. In other words, the way the game is made with XML allows for easy customizing of levels... or easy level building. Making ONE MORE level cannot be that much harder than making the previous nine.

Heck, the programming to make the screen scroll for level 9 was out of the ordinary... along with the new animations and such. I think your just being pessimistic for the sake of being pessimisitc. If the last level is a huge level like I hope it is, then it obviously will take longer. It seems to take TBC about a month usually to add another level... this means programming, music, graphics and animation. The last level is probably a bit longer (maybe) and the boss battle probably requires extra programming. It might have a scrolling screen like in Level 9 or who knows what. Plus, TBC knew they had to do the Holiday stuff first... so the Halloween toon was probably worked on before they finished the final level of Stinkoman. If you notice, Jonathan (their programmer) did the programming for the Halloween toon... all the choose your own option stuff.

Honestly, I'm sure they are working on it. When you see a quick update like Homestar vs. Little Girl that probably took them one day to film and turn into a swf file... you must realize that they are probably working hard on something bigger and better. Keep your pants on!!

True. But what if it came out in two years from now. Even if it's free, it's not worth waiting THAT long. lol. But I know TBC finish what they start... and they don't wait around forever to do so. They'll finish it... and it will ROCK!

Well well, all this chit-chat about, "look they did a puppet-show, they must be working on it", yet, it turned out I was the one who was right.

I'm pretty sure we'll get it at January. They'll do the Decemberween toon this month which takes quite a bit o time.

I don't think so. I don't think people thought it would be all that important considering you could play those levels no matter what.
