So my 16th birthday will be on Tuesday, so my parents and I went out to a Toyota dealership that was offering "MEGA REBATES" on aught-8 Corollas, and after much arguing with salesmen over price, I got the single best birthday present ever! It's "Desert Sand Mica" color (translation: kind of goldish, maybe beige?) and super amazing.

Anyway, what was/is/will be/do you want to be your first car? Have any first car or other awesome stories about cars and driving them?

My dad was gonna give me his old Toyota Deluxe. Old truck, but I liked it. He traded it in for a 2007 Tundra, so I'm not getting it.

But I am, however, probably going to get a Honda Civic when I get my license.

My first car will more-than-likely be an '89 Dodge Shadow. It's in fairly good condition.

'89 Dodge Shadow? For your first car? Lucky. not.

Also, I'd rather have the Toyota Deluxe than the Civic. I didn't mention that.

When I was learning, I drove my mom's green minivan.

When I finally got my lisense, I drove my brothers old 2001 hyundai accent. It was all damaged because someone rear-ended my brother.

Someone my dad knows sold my family 3 jeeps. I think my dad is the only guy on earth who will buy three jeeps in one day. The whole thing came out to about $5000, because one was great, and the other two were so-so. The two lesser were cherokees. A red and a green. The red one is just used to be stripped for parts now. Between the two lesser cars, they make 1 car. lol. It stalls out all the time.

Anyways, a week after getting my lisense, I crashed the greewn van. It was awesome.

Then once, some guy hit my car in the front. Not hard, but he killed a headlight. Then he drove off. I would have followed, but his car was way more damaged than mine, and since my dad knows every mechanic in the area, we just described the other car to them and one called us back the next day with a car that fit the desciption with the same damages, and the same kerry/edwards 04 bumper sticker.

I got a ticket for 83 in a 55.

I got another ticket because some guy in my car tohught it would be funny to yell at a police officer when he was pulling someone over. I got all scared and turned down this one road a little too quickly, only to find that A) There was a gate. B) The gate was hard. C) It was federal property. D) The cop was right behind me.

Getting arrested sucks. Especially when you didnt try to do anything worng, but it just kinda happened. Luckily, they were actually going to replace the fence later that day, so they didnt prosecute for that since it was an accident and they were removing it and all.

TLDR: A green jeep cherokee HEY WATCH OUT FOR THAT NEVERMIND I WAS GONNA TELL YOU TO WATCH OT FOR THAT GATE.

Oh yeah, that Toyota Deluxe I was about to get has an enormous dent in the back from when my bonehead stepmother left the tailgate down and hit a pole at 25 miles an hour when I was like, 8 years old.

It wasn't really that fast. She was really moving, though.

My first/current car:
1986 Mazda 121 baby, aka "The Beast".
Complete with sunroof that doesn't open and leaks, not to mention all the other leaks, 42 kW of raw power (at least it had that much 20 years ago when it was new) and many, many dents and of course, speed holes.

Go on, beat that.

My first car was a '95 Saturn SL1. It was the best car ever, simply because it had an old fashioned Arooga horn. So many fun times scaring the crap out of people with it.

My face hurts.

A hyperbole would have been "1000 miles per hour".

If I was any good at the utilization of hyperboles, then yes, it would've been.

New car for your first car?
Wow...

My first car car (not really my true "first", since I drove my uncle's Grand National for a little while until we could get the license and title straightened out on my car):
1995 Chevrolet Corsica.
Of course, I really can't say anything about you getting a new car, my car was pretty much new when I got it. It was less than a year old and had 7900 miles on it (it was a repo that I bought at a bank auction for $7500, which can be a good place to get a good low mileage car).

We're looking at a new one now, since I'm experiencing some "old car" problems that I don't have time or ability to fix (the engine needs a lot of work that'd be cheap to do if someone had a place to work on it and 3 day weekend or two. It's not a bad car. It'd be a good car for someone to drive for a month or two while their car is in the shop, but I don't know that I want to rely on it for day-to-day transportation for much longer.

The Corsica was a solid car, no doubt about it. There are a ton of them still on the road. They should make it again.

I think so, but I can't find it.

Oh well. We'll let this one go.

I posted something like this too, but it got Purged.

Here is my first and only car.

It's a 1995 Mercury Tracer wagon. This thing is an amazing winter car. I will put it up against any 4x4.

I have totaled it once, but you would never know unless I told you.

Oh Lawd...I had an '87 gun-metal gray Jimmy that was an utter piece of crap. The AC and driver's side windows didn't work,so I had to drive to school with an ice pack on my back in the spring. Plus the transmission broke so much that I finally sold the car for seven-hundred bucks. Sadly, my current one isn't much better. I want a Corolla. T_T

I'll tell ya, when I bought my new car, I looked at a Corolla first. Those things are expensive.
