No, but you should put a question mark at the end of that sentence.

Ok.. Now to get this train wreck back on the tracks.

When I was a little kid, I used to think our neighbor was the person that put the leaves back on the trees in the spring.

Sort of an old post, but whatever:

I am such a messed up child...

Teachers hibernate in the summer.

Also, teachers do not possess lives outside of school. (Remember when you saw a teacher at the store?)

When I was a kid, I thought all forms of media were shown live. I always thought that if I put a video tape into the VCR, the actors would set up the stage, and get ready to act out the movie over again.

I also thought South Park was a children's show.

When I was a kid...
I was scared of nearly everything. Really.
I used to think that if I didn't have your bedcovers up to my mouth, then either a vampire would get me, or a dementor would take my soul. And if I didn't finish a book or film, something bad would happen. Something very, very bad. And when I was... ten, I saw an advert for The Ring. I didn't watch a videotape for two years. Heh.
Oh, and wine gums were once living creatures that ran around on little pink legs. You can blame my dad for that one.

This isn't actually something I THOUGHT, but it's still a weird little-kid quirk.

I remember once when my dad found me ripping the pages of one of my Calvin & Hobbes collections (NOT like ripping it up, just ripping it some around the edges, before everyone jumps on me) and when my dad asked me what the crap I was doing it for I said that I was doing it to make it "look old."

Yes.

Really.

I remember making my Guinea Pig do that to a Pokemon card price guide for that reason.

When I was in Kindergarten I had a teacher's aid named Mrs. Rushing. I thought she was Mrs. RUSSIAN, and so I thought all Russians had red hair.
Yeah.

I think I mentioned this in the old thread, but I used to think Christianity and Judaism were the only two religions. And all bands that didn't sing about God were Jewish.

Remember when they used to show that hardcore action anime on HBO back in the 90's? My parents used to think it was porn and always sped past it when changing the channel.

Reminds me of how my father thought all anime was hentai.
That made for an awkward conversation.

You should've.

It's a shame--I was really looking forward to meeting you.

I thought teachers lived at school and they slept under their desks and if they were lucky they could sleep in either the gym or the fire escape.

I know its really stupid. Most people did think their teachers live at school, but nothing like that. The dumbest part is my mom was a teacher (and still is) while I thought that!

Are you me? I thought the same thing, and my mom was a teacher and still is. Or am I some sort of crazy hobo that's trying to act like he's not that crazy? Either way it's win win.

Same thing. I thought that Jews didn't believe in God.

I thought whenever the word Jews was used, I thought people were mispronouncing juice. I really didn't care if Hitler tried exterminating juice, even though juice is cool.

This isn't what I thought as a child, but that Jews thing reminds me of this real life Senor Cardgage I met while on a fishing trip once.
He thought the Jews were not a real people, just a religion and it was all a conspiracy. He also thought Australians invented martial arts (among many other things, btw I live in Australia) and Asians stole the idea. He thought everybody in the world was German, and their ancestors had just changed their last names at some point in time.
There were so many strange ideas he had, such a pity I can't remember them all...

When I saw a black and white movie I used to think where they were actually filming it was ACTUALLY black and white. Kinda strange.

Oh and slept with the lights on thinking it would scare away all my imaginary monsters.
