Exactly. I would be so scared of the illegal operation box that I avoided programs that did it often. And I was really freaked out when the BSoD appeared.
Also, I thought water and electricity shouldn't mix at all. Like, a person shouldn't be on the computer when they just came out of the shower.
I also thought, when I was seven or eight, that kids were supposed to be afraid of the dark. I got myself to belive a monster was lurking in my room somehow.
Then, I also thought FM was similar to AM and PM. I was always confused that I only saw AM/FM on radios, so I thought it was another way to say PM.
Oh, and scary noises from stove + red flame instead of blue = HOUSE BURN DOWN TO THE GROUND
