Not at all. I'm not dissing you--you seem pretty cool. But the fact is, this forum has really declined in awesomeness, and half the users are, quite frankly, jerks.

The real world is a dark place indeed; unfortunately most of you many never comprehend the existence of such a place. It is a constrictive environment almost completely separated from the Elysium we call the Internet. Yet, even so, it is a far more productive and enjoyable universe than what is found on the contemptible Elysium.

I have enough experience from the community to know that you will treat this letter facetiously, including neglecting to read the letter thoroughly (known in your community as the eloquent moniker of "tl;dr"), but it may not please you that this letter is perhaps no as succinct as you would have appreciated. Nevertheless, I strongly suggest you read the complete letter.

Let me begin by explaining my leave. I presume, given the demographic of the community, that you are familiar with the fact that when gas is compressed in a chamber, the flash point lowers. If you substitute "chamber" with "Homestar Runner Wiki Forum" and the gas itself with majority of active HRWF users, the flash point lowers.

I have left because of the incomprehensibly contemptible moronism of the forum, where sophisms are championed by those who do not wish to apply a sort of rational thought. This is reflected especially well in the "Got a Girlfriend/Boyfriend?" thread, wherein the sophomoric responses made by this bastion of stupidity dangerously affects my ability to think logically at a time of concern, even amidst my plea for the guesses of this "riddle" (which it never was) to cease.

The community has become a tedious portion of my life. Thanks to its demise from a special forum of rather intelligent people, it has degraded itself into a campground for battling sects of zeitgeists.

If you wish me to return (which I highly doubt you will), then I suggest you start a reform movement to return the forum to its glory days. Many a time have I seen people reminiscing about the summer of '05 (and occasionally '06), when the forum truly shined and was a peaceful exchange of brotherly ideas, love, and thought. If you wish for the forum to return to this (and for my possible return), I urge you all to lash out against the current bastion of stupidity and reclaim the forum for intelligence.

By the Hammer of Thor, I wish to those who wish to reclaim the forum all the best of luck in restoring the past brilliance of a now decadent colloquium.

Couldn't we start a Suggestions thread discussing ways to make the forum better?
Instead of the drama here, I mean.
/trying to put this delicately so as not to offend anyone.

After all, I'm a weeaboo.

But, what made this forum so appealing in the first place? I can't remember - I've not been here that long, or at least, not long enough to remember anything significant, besides maybe a couple pranks.

Guess what. The days of Summer '05 are never going to come back. Get over it and move on.

For me it was the friendliness of it all. I remember way back in 05, I was a giant noob. Got into a few flame wars with some more-liked people, got chased off to the Fanstuff. And I came back, all because of the friendly people and the atmosphere. I remember people saying that it was an Internet oasis. I haven't heard that since about 2006.

I do like the old times of the forum better, but I stick around because these guys are some of my best friends. If all of you people leaving don't see that, then, well, I can't help you. But if you do, then stick around and make this place not suck instead of just abandoning it.
