I'm feeling defeated! I usually have very little will to go to my first period class (English) and today I just couldn't find any will to be there. I'm not sure why I have to go to this class that does not apply to my future. I'd love to be able to dump it and replace it with a Grade 12 math or re-take Grade 11 physics (I passed, but only just). Ughldfj.

....you could've taken AP Calculus, like I did.... :-\

Oh, to follow up...they pulled me out of this class today. I'm really confused.

I feel less remorseful about quitting baseball, considering the league president did some background checks, and only 6 kids still playing were well-behaved enough to play on my team. There would be no season if I was to stick around anyways.

This week has been great. I've been on uni holidays and home alone for most of it.

My parents never found out about that party I had. Also my friend who is 18 is going to bring me beer tomorrow. That's always good. Also I'm supposed to be meeting some people that I don't really know today, but it may or may not happen.

All good.

I decided to do lacrosse practice today, and I must say that it is awesome again (though I didn't really get any playing time with our drills, which questions whether or not I'm good at the sport).

Also, my parents bought one bird the day before Easter and decided to call it Skittles. Now my parents just came back with the bird that was in the same cage as it. They're apparently called Cow and Chicken. Meh...my parents need to stop buying pets...and stop buying ridiculous things for them, like a playpen for the top of the birdcage.

And also, I'm considering playing in a different league.

I haven't seen Cloverfield, but I was just reading the Wikipedia article about it, and the plot summary mentions that, in the final Coney Island scene set prior to the events of the movie, a large object is seen falling into the ocean.

I won't sleep tonight. That's an exaggeration, but reading that creeped me out more than it should've.

I'm okay. Saw Drillbit Taylor last night at Hollywood Blvd. Interesting cinema. Iy's basically a restaurant in an old-timey movie theater. So even though 200 people (about) were in the same room, these guys still make a profit. So, if you guys are in Indianapolis or Naperville, I'd suggest going there. For some reason, I'm equating it to Ciao Bella! in awesomeness.

I'll likely shower when I log off.

I'm feeling lazy. There's a research paper due this coming Monday on who is to blame for Hurricane Katrina, and I'm almost 4 pages in. It must be 8 to 10 pages long without the Works Cited. I'm stuck, and I really don't feel like continuing. The subject matter doesn't interest me in the least, and I really have nothing else to say other than what's already been written.

I'm going to fail this paper, and hence my English class for the quarter.

Sore. My forearms especially. I went lifting for the first time in a while and I am now going to be like the Tin Man tomorrow.

Eh...okayish

I just had an ear infection in my right ear (It didn't hurt, it was really itchy deep in the ear), a raspy throat, low grade fever, left eye watery and a rash on my forehead, arms, stomach, chest, and back. Fortunately, the rash wasn't contagious and I went to the doctor this morning. He said all that I had was viral and my rash is not itchy and just the changing of season. I took the day off just to be safe so all I was doing at my nana's house was sleep, watch a few Youtube videos, watched TV and studied my Spanish (which I think I'm failing in).

Right now, my ear and my throat are a bit scratchy but I'll be ok.

It's more about the slow emergency response than the actual storm.

From what I've seen, it's not any one person or group's fault, but that of the lack of sufficient communication between all levels of government.

Ugh, my laptop, which has been freezing for the last few months almost constantly (like, ten-times-a-day constantly), finally died today. The people say that it can be sent in for repairs, though the hard drive data will likely be lost. There goes all of my documents (from novel ideas to the Disktionary), my images (the CD covers I am designing for people, Forum images, images for my dynamic sig...), and most importantly, my music, especially when half of it was purchased through iTunes and Apple makes it hard enough to get off the iPod Touches.

Does every day now have to have something that brings me down a lot?

EDIT: Oh, and I couldn't back it up on this old computer because all of the files were slowing it down too much, and my SD Cards had everything deleted on them to make room for the music my dad wanted from my iTunes...

I'm feeling decent. I found something to do this Spring, and it isn't baseball.

Nah, instead I'm practicing with the high school track & field team. The 4-by-1 relay has seemed to be my best event, so I'm mainly interested in that.

I STRONGLY dislike research papers. I have two due on Monday. One on obesity, and the other on somnambulism (sleepwalking)

Obesity: Unless the person has a weird genetic disorder that turns the person into a very fat person despite good eating and exercising habits, there's no excuse.

Hmm, now let's stretch that out into a four page paper.

Explain several solutions to the obesity problem, including the solution that also solves world hunger.

It works well.
First, it stops fat people from eating all of the food, freeing up more food for the hungry. Secondly, it provides another source of food for the hungry.
It's win-win.

Alternatively, those fat RULE 6rds could stop eating and lose some weight.

Then again, they need their hourly Twinkie or else they'll die of hunger.

If I were dictator of Earth, all people weighing over 300 pounds or are considered BMI obese would become part of the final solution to world hunger. Except they're dead right away instead of months of hard work and starvation.

It was their choice to be fat. No mean about it.

Was that like a joke? I've gained weight in the past year, not a lot of course, but I'm just saying, that was NOT a conscious decision.

I just wrote this big myspace bulletin about chain emails and bulletins because I know a disturbing amount of girls who repost or forward emails, because they actually get scared.

How crazy is that, eh? I feel alright though. I've been working for ages, really hard on my art assignment, which is still quite rubbish anyway, but I submitted it, thank goodness... I feel pretty alright.

So there's my post for the month.

What about obscenely tall people? I would change the "OR" to "AND" in the part about weight and BMI in your post...

That way, really tall people (like Shaq) wouldn't have to be wafer thin to be ok.

Silly, silly BTG. I would order that you would NOT be killed.

And tall, skinny people who happen to not be obese but weigh 300 pounds are exempt.
