For a first timer who really didn't train for it, I'll take it. That's a full 10 minutes off the winning pace in my class, but still, that was a 20 year old guy that runs all the time. I would have been a lot faster if it hadn't been for that last freakin' hill. Seriously. I think the person that decided to make the last mile a hill (and a steep one at that) should be kicked upside the head.
Next race, I aim for sub-30:00. I'd like to shave even more off of my time. My goal is 28:00, but I figure sub-30:00 will be fine.

I can be your running buddy.

Ok.
I guess you have to get pretty fit to be a policecop.

My goal is to run the Black Cat Chase around 25:00-26:00 in October.

We'll see if that works.

I feel like I just had about 14 House-induced heart attacks.

The new episode was AMAZING.

Don't know if you haven't noticed, but Amber is pretty much the female version of House.
Thus her nickname.

I feel lovely.
I (finally) received comments from EPA headquarters on a regulations package I'm working on (they were only about 2 months late getting these comments to me).
Long story short, If they said "GTFO! Kill yourself." they would have been a lot more friendly than the comments they gave me.

At this point in the game, we're too far into things to make all of the changes they want, and my boss says to go ahead and hold my ground with them, but if they don't approve this package, then it's all for nothing.

They keep saying that we need flexibility in this regulation, but they also complain that we're not specific about things. They want two opposing things.
Gotta love the feds.

Wow, my standardized test for World History was incredibly easy. In fact, it appeared to be the 2001 test. Lazy, lazy, school board people.

So after almost all of our class finished the test in 20 minutes of the 3 hour time block, I fell asleep. I woke up about 30 minutes later, wondering why we hadn't left the testing site yet. It turned out that two of my friends were doodling with the highlighter function of the laptop testing program, and they hadn't submitted their answers yet.

I also got a pain in my neck from sleeping over the desk.

And finally:

This did nothing for me besides make me feel a bunch of pain. The pimples are still there, but now with little holes in them.

Good luck ninti.
Hope it's nothing serious.

Note: the above statements often puzzle me. 1) Good luck: At the Doctor's office, does luck really have anything to do with it? I mean, it's like they think you're in some sort of game of chance or something, like the doctor's going to spin a big wheel or something.
2) Hope it's nothing serious: Who really wishes it IS something serious? I'm sure there's some jerkwad out there that might, but for the most part, they don't matter.

With that said, I stand by my "good luck' and "hope it's nothing serious".

I feel kinda off my regular beat. The girl that I've liked for some time now (even though she rejected me in December) found a boyfriend yesterday, which is fine by me, if it didn't involve the fact that her excuse for rejecting me was that she didn't want to worry about having a boyfriend with everything else she has to do. Eh...

Yeah, classic excuse. It's a catch 22, really. You don't want to hurt the guy who wants to be your boyfriend, but you don't want to sacrifice your own happiness either.

IN PAIN. I bent my toe back extremely far yesterday, and it's still excruciatingly painful. Aside from that, I have allergies and a really bad cough, so overall, I'm not doing too well.

Normally, I'd give mad props for something like that, but I thought it was a Green Bay Packers reference (they play it for touchdowns, and unlike the other NFL teams, they've been doing it since the early-mid 90's), too, so I threw out a reward.
