I was at my grandmother's house taking photographs of her roof damage, and I miss all of this!? I want a very detailed rundown, please.

If you all need to know, I'll tell you what was the final straw this time around.

BTG has already pointed out the AFK thing, but I'll elaborate, since it's important. It was an alternate account he had set up during his last ban (the long one). He told ramrod that he was only going to use it to PM admins/mods/COLA (for his CD), and ramrod approved. Roughly half (or more) of the total mods were unhappy with it, thinking "when you're banned, you should have no contact with the forum", but it was let slide. Not long at all after setting the account up, he started using it to message other users (namely Word Up), a blatant violation of the agreement. AFK was subsequently banned, and pretty much the entire mod staff was fuming over the incident. We all agreed Rusty was down to his last strike, and I myself, who has been overwhelmingly lenient with Rusty, pointed out more than once that he was on very, very thin ice.

When he came back, he immediately picked a fight with a modmin staff that was already angry with him. Look over that thread; none of us are in a particularly good mood.

Rusty's "final straw" was him messaging an administrator and telling him, in no uncertain terms, "Funk you,".

Look, I like Rusty, I really do. He makes me laugh and I always thought of him as a friend, and I hope he still thinks of me as one. But I couldn't help him anymore. No user is completely exempt from the rules. We dealt with Rusty using our three-strike policy, and his infractions eventually caught up with him.

SOMEONE EXPLAIN LAST NIGHT! Really! I want a full explanation from Sat Jun 21, 2008 9:30 pm
(Eastern time) to now. I have read all the new posts in RT, Forum Awards, the Disktionary, and the leaving thread, (And the love poems thread) and I just don't get it!
I just want a FULL explanation.

Simplest explanation: a convergence of people whose drama cycles happened to sync up all at once, thus making something out of a lot of nothing.

It's really the only explanation. I'm reading this stuff and I can't figure out at all what the fuss is about.

Stu starts coming back to the Forum.
Rusty wants Stu to unban him, but he doesn't, since ramrod instated the ban.
Ramrod unbans Rusty around the end of his ban date.
Rusty and Stu get in a PM argument regarding his Occupation and Interests saying something against the rules.
Rusty complains to me online; we talk for a bit, then he says that he's going to make a thread.
He makes the thread, and it ends up turning into an obligatory drama-fest.
The thread is eventually locked and renamed; Rusty rages and PMs StrongRad while using some form of profanity.
Being that he's on his last warning, Rusty is banned.
COLA and Teefee's purple names are removed due to "favoritism"; I suggest that somebody should at least have a hot pink name.
Stu gives me a pink name, then opens up the door to people wanting different-colored names. (It is around this time that I have to go to my grandmothers, so I'm going off what I've read and been told).
Almost all of the suggested colors are more annoying than the purple names of the past, and the Forum begins lighting up like a Christmas tree.
Teefee leaves the Forum.
Since Random Thoughts is around the corner, it is flooded with posts about being high for 20 or so pages.
Some people begin changing their avatars and signatures to be more colorful.
Stu unbans Lahi; ramrod and Stu apparently play tennis with the ban.
Random Thoughts is locked on Page 999--the plan was to have either Lahi or Seethroo make the 1,000th page TOTPD, but due to how active the Forum was, it never happened. Instead, Noid, Jitka, Homeschool, and COLA all reach this at one point, due to the mods deleting posts.
Things begin to cool down, and Random Thoughts is locked. (I return around this point).
The Forum is apparently happy.

How come everybody's names are so colorful now?

EDIT: I also do understand that TFE left and I can't figure out why? I do understand the fact that she was using favoritism, but why exactly did she leave?

Tee-fee left because she didn't like the modmins were handling the current situation.

I tried calling him, but I think he has a different number. The person that answered the phone did not sound like him and had never heard of him.

Using the color name logic we all should have access to titles considering some non-modmins have them, actually.
