Erdrick? If you're gonna name a kid after a video game character, at least go with like, semi-normal names. Terra, Edgar, Ultros, that kind of thing.

True, but all these names have shortened versions Leo, Ari, Kiki, Alex, Mike. All of which are pretty common nicknames overall and will likely remain common. So no worries.

I've never heard anybody being called "Arie" in my life. And a lot of names/nicknames go out of style. When was the last time you saw an Umberto or a Sylvester being born?

Long story. I was doing a biology lab involving eight crickets, four of each gender. We decided to name the four males after The Beatles, and gave the females stereotypical black names like Jaquisha. We couldn't think of a fourth, so we just chose Ndutu, a river in Africa. So apparently it's now a girl's name. ^.^

Not like I condone naming anyone Ndutu EVER, but it was just an example of a strange name.

Not at all. Your argument shows that it doesn't matter what we name our kids since any name we choose could go out of style anyway.

Plus, since there is a chance that I'll take lots of trips to Greece with my family naming a kid Leonidas makes since. Like I said he'll probably be called Leo most of the time which is still cool.

Glit would get very graphically made fun of in school once the kids learn what they need to learn to do it. Leo is usually short for Leonardo or Leonard (or Lynyrd.)
