Still, I fail to see how having a unique name is a bad thing.

Because when it comes to names, "unique" is code for "retarded."
Eh, it's not so much the unique names that I have a problem with, but the common names, except they're spelled wrong.

You know which one's I'm talking about. "Karsen", etc.

Boys: Leonidas, Alexander, Paulos

Girls: Magdalyn, Helen, Aphrodite

Bob and Matilda.

Seriously though, probably James for boy and Jenny for girl.

Boys: Eric, Clyde, Hector, Bobby, Fredrick, Jason, Mike, Cameron, Joey.
Girls: Elizabeth, Diane, Samantha, Jenna, Hilary, Lucy, Sarah.

I'm not into weird names either. It actually makes me kind of angry when I go on Yahoo answers and read all the crazy baby names people are considering (even those 4/5 of those people are obviously 12 year olds).

I can't think of anything original. These are the names of my nuclear family.

A good name for a guy would be Phillip Joel, so you can name them after Bonus Stage's Joel and Phil, AND Futurama's Phillip J. Fry all at the same time.

As for girl names, I have several I've always liked, including (but not limited to) Jennel, Amanda, and Lilith.

I hear ya, brotha. =[

The only good male name I can think of is Mason. If I had a girl I would be blank for a good female name.

In response to Noid's criticism of Bonus Stage, I enjoy the show, but once again, the obsession makes it fail. But then again, that applies to Homestar.

It depends if he's born with blonde hair or not. If not, he isn't cut-out to become a rising pop sensation then spiral down a path of drug abuse, alcohol, and violence, only to end up doing porn and dying of the AIDS, coke, and drinky by the age of 36.

"Phillip Joel" somehow reminds me of the Piano Man...

I'm offended by you naming your child this.

I'm offended because your giving him a LAST NAME for a first name. Surely Adolf would suffice?
What's your first name? If it's not a last name or a weird name, then you have no reason to be offended.

I cam eup with most of these as I was posting

Girls: Allissa (Ally), Lilly, Laura

Boys: Tyler, Mathew (Matt), Zachary (Zach. Too bad Zachary looks really weird when written)

I don't care about names to much, most of those I picked because they sound good with my last name.

Holly has some girls' names picked out. I despise the one's she picked, too, because they're either weird names or weird spellings of normal names.

She does not know the pain of a kid that goes to Disney and can't find the Mickey Mouse ears with their name (or their spelling of their name) on them.

I was thinking of Benjamin Eric if we have a son. It's sort of a personal thing, a tribute to two friends of mine.

Yeah. After reading this, it looks like we're expecting a child.
Not right now. We're hoping to get a house first, so it'll be at least 2 years (at the soonest).

Mostly it applies to Invader Zim. I mean, I liked the show and everything, but I can't stand "ZOMG GIR IS SooO RADNUM!!1" fanboys/girls/its.

That too. Oh, that also happened to The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Yeah, I'm pretty disappointed that The Nightmare Before Christmas has been turned into kind of a goth symbol. Most of them probably never even seen the movie!

Also, I agree that weird spellings of normal names suck... unless they have an x.

Probably Devin. It's a cool name.
