I thought ramrod was soce for a while based on his sig.

I have no idea why, but for a little while before I joined, I thought Ramrod was a girl. Later on I found out he thought I was a guy for a while.

I used to think Shippinator Mandy was 16 or so. (We were... 12 at the time?)

I thought Clan would have also been banned instantly but he lasted a year or so, didn't he?

I've given it some more thought, and it's probably because my last internet communities were female dominated and my mind just defaulted to female when I didn't know someone's gender.

Just say something you think or thought about someone else on the forum that may or may not be true. Unnecessary example: In 2004, I thought ______________ had brown hair. I'm just curious for some reason. You can also post whether facts that someone else said are true or not. I wasn't sure if this should go here or in Off-Subject, so I chose the one that made more sense to me.

Clan was a good living example of the argument of noob vs newb, to say the least. I used to have a bit of difficulty figuring out when messages were posted and regularly in which threads while I was getting used to forums back in my lurking days. Also, I thought there were for serious forum elections, after some old thread I found where Tom was 'elected' something or other.

But no, he stayed around long enough to make us pull our hair out. If we still had any by that point. I used to think Susan was a girl, Shwoo was a guy, and various other gender confusions. I didn't hear about that until later. This was when I was only reading the Homestar Runner threads, anyway. One of the first other threads I looked at was the real names thread, and that made most genders pretty clear.
