I play electric bass, and for a short period of time, I played clarinet.

When I get Rock Band, I'll use the mic to record guitar tracks. But that means I won't be able to record anything until (hopefully) Christmas.

I know nothing of rock band, but if it's anything like guitar hero it is not a legitimate replacement for guitar.

I meant since, (for the 360 version) the mic for the singing part is pretty much just a USB mic, I can use it to record my f'real guitar onto my compy.

And you know what I just love? Bass through a guitar/bass overdrive pedal and Cry Baby wah pedals!

Yes it is. If it's mic'd/has a pickup installed. I tried it on my friend's upright in jazz band (we have a little clip-on pickup dealie for the basses). It was beyond awesome.

You're a bassist, you have no usage in a band.

Actually, I just had an honor band recital today in which I played the French horn, in addition to a piano recital in which I played the piano. I have performed piano for live audiences in Vienna and have been hired to play at a wedding.

They arent. The only GOOD bassist to ever exist was Snazz Snickle Nick bottom, and he got his head chopped off in 'Nam.

You proved to me that you'll make a good guitar tech, but you don't know much about music and the way lineups work.

And yes, I know that when I'm playing the slap it clicks. That's what I get for setting a camera on top of an amp and recording music with it.
