Three Days Grace annoys me, as does Linkin Park. And pop music isn't specific to recent stuff, there's plenty of older pop bands that are great, and there continues to be a bunch of talented indie pop groups out there. |

If people actually held this opinion, your point might be valid, but the fact that the ONLY people I've ever heard this from are preteens and the ONLY reason they've ever said it is because they want to be different than everyone else, forces me to take your argument at a somewhat lower level than I would take any others. Lu Bu, you suck. The Beatles are INFLUENTIAL ARTISTS. Even if you don't like them that much, you should respect them for that. Because they are. Without them, music as we know it today wouldn't exist. Plus they're brilliant like Ace said. |

Setting the standard for much of the music to come after then, making the biggest impact in modern music... I'd say they're a legendary band. They've influenced so many bands, and chances are, one of the bands (at least one) that you like list the beatles as one of their influences. They were all creative geniuses. Like it or not, they were actually a good band. They contributed largely to the world of music. |

I'm just sayin'... Also, I would venture that bands such as Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, and Elvis Presley (OK, so he's not a band) had just as big an impact on music as the Beatles. I'm not saying they did nothing for music (that would be the dumbest statement ever), they were very important. I just think their impact is over-stated by a lot of people. |
