Scars?

Have any scars that might have interesting (or gruesome) stories behind them?

Personally, I have a couple. One on my knee from a close encounter with barbed wire. The other is on my forehead, just above my hairline. I got that from hitting my head on the ceiling (long story) and getting three stitches.

I have a scar on my stomach that I have had since I was 17 days old. I was born with Pyloric Stenosis. It's a condition that causes the Pyloric Valve in the stomach....

was swollen shut. That means any food that I had ingested could not get to the intestines and I would projectile vomit(of which you can still find residual stains on my fire place door).

I also got a scar over my left eye. I got that when I was 7. It was Columbus Day and I was at the babysitter's. I was chasing my friend Adam around and I tripped and hit the corner of a table. Had my head been tilted an inch more to the left, I would have lost my eye.

My hands are littered with small scars. I got some burn marks, small cuts a scar from when I punched out a bus window another when I cut my hand with a box cutter when I was working at Price Chopper.

I've got a burn on my right elbow from when I crashed my bike at the sitter's when I was 10. The Olympics were on and my late friend Mike and I wanted to recreate the Olympic Cycling event in the driveway of the sitter's.

Aside from the minor scars from cuts, the only real scar I have is on the back of me head, from wen I fell down some stairs when I was like, 3 or something. (in b4 "that explains a lot".) It looks like the Nike Shwoosh symbol.

I have a scar on my left arm and it's been there for as long as I can remember. Pure white. I think I fell on some glass or something.

Anyone familiar with the game where you spin quarters around and the first one to knock it down gets a quarter shot at their hand? Yeah, I've got scars from that. I also have a legit scar on my left eyebrow, and there's no hair on that spot anymore.

Bloody Knuckles? Yeah, that game was fun.

And I uh, don't think I have any, and I won't start inspecting myself because I'm kinda in the middle of class right now...

There's Quarters and then there is Bloody Knuckles. Quarters is when you shoot a coin at a person's hand. Bloody Knuckles is where you punch the other person's hand until it bleeds.

Quarters doesn't exist around these parts. Instead idiots just bring rubber bands to school and aim at people.

I have one on my left thumb from a knife and one on my left index finger from an axe. And a few more minor ones here and there. I've also bit my cheeks here and there, and when I was little, the teeth on my lower jaw kept hitting my palate when I closed my mouth. And my wisdom teeth are coming out, making a fuss. Not sure if you'd call that scars, but...

Also, I too have played Quarters. Once. I'm not playing it again. That game HURT.

Well, this isn't much of a scar, but a small piece of skin from the side o my knee is missing, apparently due to a folding chair at a theater. Not sure how a folding chair could do that, but I guess it did.

This isn't really a scar, but I fell down the stairs when I was 2 or 3, and the staircase edges have metal bumpers or something. Needless to say, I have a dent in my skull. It's above the middle of my eye where the skull ends.

I have a deep scar on my calf that's been there since I was like 6. I don't remember exactly how I got it, though. Maybe I was shanked in the leg or something.

I also remembered thanks to the 3rd nipple topic that I have a white, raised scar where a supposed mole/3rd nipple was before it was removed by a dermatologist.

Woah, that's pretty sweet

I just noticed I have a bit scar on my arm. I think it's from when I had a big bike accident and got a nice scrape there. I then proceeded to pull the scab off when it formed. Yeah, I'm impatient. :rolleyes:

I got a bunch of scars. All of them except the one I got from surgery happened before I was the age of 10. In no particular order:

- Scar on my left pinky from the tip being chopped off when slammed in a door.
- Scar on my right thumb from lifting a bed frame - then losing my grip and having it slammed between the metal-wheel-holder-spoke and the hard floor.
- Scar on my right hip from falling while rollarskating on a brick fireplace front. Hit the edge of the brick.
- Scar down the middle of my chest from falling off of some home made monkey bars - I had grabbed a pole to keep myself from falling on the ground, and ended up scraping my chest down the edge of unfinished metal.
- Scar on my right knee from tripping and slamming down onto the metal edge of a sliding-door-track.
- Scar on my left arm, next to my elbow, for the time I was biking outside and slammed into a parked car - I woke up in my bed with all my family staring down at me. The only time I've been knocked out, that I can remember.
- Scar on my head(hidden by hair), from when I was climbing the outside of my chimney in order to "look for Santa Claus". A brick was loose and fell on the top of my head.
- Scar on my right wrist from surgery - they removed a tumor.

I have administered a few scars to people.
I only have one myself, though, from when I stepped on a pencil. Don't ask.

I also have chicken pox scars.

That was the first thing my sister screamed at me when I got out of surgery...

The only scar that I know still exists on my body is a graphite marking on the lower palm of my right hand from 3rd grade. I tried to put away a sharpened pencil in Music class, but it bounced out of the pencil tin, ran perpendicular with the ground, and didn't fall over when I pushed my hand down on it.

One on my left arm, from getting it cut by glass.
One on my left knee from a bad fall.
One on my left leg, from something that I don't remember.
One on my left ring finger, from ice-skating
One on my left ankle. It was a play at third base, and the ball was thrown high, I jumped up to get it, runner slid into my foot, bending it, and I came down on it, with my root foot. I was wearing metal cleats.

Nothing on my right side, though.

My back is full of Gashes from a whipping I got at Boy Scout camp or whatever the devil it was called.. The 2003 Jamboree thingy... in Mexico... Got whipped for trying to sell Nick Nacks without a license...

Or maybe it was because of my cats, I dunno...

When my dad was a kid, he accidentally stabbed himself in the right palm with a freshly sharpened pencil, which left a scar. I think I inherited it, because I have a scar there for no reason.

Also, there's one on my lip from when I fell and cut it when I was like three.

I have a faintly visible scar on my right arm that I got last year. I burned myself on the oen at work because the oven mitts were too short.
