Yeah, I'm not sure if a thread has been made for this, but I searched, pretty sure it's not, but who knows, Imight be dense about it.

Anyways, hoping to avoid an ABP'd, this thread is about getting to know your pet, whether it be dog, fish, cat, mouse, crocodile, rock, or just some lone mailbox you taped ears to and drew eyes and whiskers and teeth too.

Me? I have a cat, she is named 'Pants'...

...

of course because it looks like she's wearing pants.

So what about your pet? Mine is currently next to me as I type on the computer.

I has a dog. A miniature dachsund to be exact. His name is Helamen, like the ancient warrior. He's a red hair. Right now he's sleeping on my couch.

MOM'S:
Dog, and his name is Rusty. As calm as he appears to some people, he's a wicked guard dog. He's protected us from home invasions before!

And, a hamster named Lazlo. He keeps me awake with his freakin' running wheel that he never gets out of every freaking night.

DAD'S

A dog with such a stupid name I'm too embarassed to state it.

Same goes with the 1 cat.

Put all 4 of them in the same room together, there would be the blood of animals upon every corner of the room.

I've had a whole slew of animals throughout my lifetime, though I'll only post about the ones that are currently alive:

Mom's House:
- Two Husky-mixes named Aeries and Angel
- A Papillon named Sparky
- A cat named Sunshine (who is basically always attached to me the moment I get home)
- A lot of fish

Dad's House:
- A parrot-type bird named Simon (he's over twenty years old)
- A dog (I forgot what type specifically; perhaps a Spaniel?) named Precious

Alright! Dead pets! A long time ago, before the divorce of my parents when I was like, 3.

Lucky, a very rowdy golden retriever that left us because my dad was stupid enough to leave the gate open before we left for a week.

Then, 6 years after their divorce:

Mom's:
Toothy, overweight guinea pig, who I named after the HTF character.
Pac-man, a hamster named after *Pac-man*
Sly, another hamster named after Sly Cooper.

Dad's:
Goldman, a fish that died after my dad ignorantly threw a crawdad into his tank.

Another fish whose name I can't remember.

Wow, lots of negativity towards your dad considering the pet area.

I had a lizard that my mom let go and one fish or two that were unable to live in such filthy conditions as my house.

I have…an empty house.

I used to have a cat named Charlotte, but that was my sister's, and when she moved out, the cat went with her.

That's because almost all the deaths were his fault.

I have a dog. A Shetland Sheepdog named Cosmo to be exact. He's four years old and he's soooooooo cute! I should get a picture of him up here when I can.

Also, we had four lizards but Dad just killed them. Why? Well we agreed that I would feed them and HE would clean the cage. But he didn't. Just because it bit his finger. Then they got sick and soon died. Just perfect...

I currently live with two cats. Simba and Kimba. Both orange. Simba's a darker orange, has shorter fur, and is stripey. Kimba's a lighter orange and has longer fur.

Personality-wise: Simba is really playful. You can't really get him to sit down for a petting session. He'll roll onto his back, and then when you rub his stomach he'll go all play-bitey.

Kimba is just really mellow. He lives to be petted.

And I've had a menagerie of other pets (mostly cats) throughout my life time, but I don't feel like talking about them and you don't feel like hearing about them. I will share this tidbit with you, though: never name a fish Jack. I had four fish named Jack and they all died of fin rot. Tanya lived.

2 cats: One big and fat and grey and very loving. The other is orange and white and fluffy.

My sister also owns a guinea pig, who is extremely fat.

I've told this little story so often that these days it feels like I'm just reciting it, but here goes:

When I was a lot younger, we used to have a cat named Oreo because she was white with black spots. She was fun to play with and liked to chase dangly things. She used to sit near the bathtub and stare, transfixed, at the water rushing out of the faucet. That's all she'd ever do. She never got near the water.

Also, I, apparently being a sexist young child, kept on referring to her as a "he".

Anyway, one night we let her out and she never came back. We were all "It's late but we'll cut you some slack ONE TIME, cat!"

We were stupid.

When I was little I wanted a dog. So my parents said, "When you're eight, we'll get you one!"
I got a dog last year.
I was 14.

I has a wheaten terrier. She's, like, a year old and she is cute as poo. Her name's Ivy Clotiel Velveeta Best.
Yeah, I totally thought that name up.
I really wanted to name her Gravy but mom and dad were all "NO".
Losers.

I also used to have a cat named Nimbus but he ran away and my parents hated him so they were all "Psht, we are SO not looking for him."
And I cried. :C

I have a dog named Levon... and he thinks that we're going to starve him, considering he constantly begs for food.

I have a cat named Hex (Super Hex is his full name; yes, he's named after one of the Nate the Great books) and he is indifferent to everything. Unless you interrupt his sleep. For example, dropping a pillow on him...Yes, I'm cruel.

I have another cat named Nadine (I think that's how you spell it), and the only person who can touch her is my mom. Anyone else, she runs away from when you get within a ten-foot range of her.

I also have a zebra finch named Fifi. DIE YOU STUPID BIRD. DIE LIKE THE OTHER ONE. ...Uh, sorry. I just hate that bird SO much.

^For a second, I thought that was a picture of a polar bear.

That would have been awesome.

I used to have a dog. Her name was Penny. We got her around the time I was born. We found her running around on the streets, so we took her in, and tried to find the owner. We found the owner who lived down at the bottom of our hill. Turns out that they left her to die, because they were moving away to Australia. We got to keep her. They came back around five, six years later, and asked if they could have her back.
I dunno what happened, but we still kept her. We had to put her down around this time last year. She was almost 16 years old.

You probably know this already, but a rooster is not categorized in the same subject as '13 chickens'. ;)

Oh, oops, yeah...

I really should stop getting my knowledge from old seinfeld episodes, I though a chicken was a whole 'nother bird on it's own.

Oh, I'm sorry, chiken.

Toastpaint...

My cat is really upbeat nowadays, Pants had earmites but they're gone now, and after that treatment, seems a bit happier.
