Even with lack of response, I'll post another one, see if it draws anyone to it...

Max tried to speak over the raging questions in his mind, but it was challenging. Hit by an especially cold breeze, he shivered and started to talk.
"Alright, I have some questions. Who am I, where am I, and what happened ?"
"I thought you wouldn't remember. That seems to happen to people who come in contact with them..." Responded the voice. "But anyway, from the sound of your voice, you are Maxwell Tenter, a Squad Captain for Group Major Class 3. You're location is pinpointed to an abandoned city called Rensville, in the Western part of Oregon, United States. you remember what all these places are?
"Yes, but not why I'm here. Or any details of anything else."
"Okay, well your third question can be described simply: Post Genocide. Or, that's what we're calling it. There is an estimated 600,000 people alive, but out of 10 Billion, that's pretty bad."
"How'd we end up like this?" Max asked as he started looking around the dark room. He found a vest matching the helmet and put it on. An immediate sense of warmth came over him, and his random pains slowly etched away.
"Very long story, but the gist is: We send a space craft to Mars and picked up huge amounts of rock, dirt, and anything else that could help us understand the planet. When the shuttle finally came back, it carried with it something we thought was not possible. Bacteria. It was studied and given a new classification, Remoarous Major. What we did not see was the viruses implanted deep within. Once figured safe to handle, many people got in contact with it, and the virus took effect. It causes a shutdown of the body system by cutting off the nerve ability, why injecting s type of serum into the brain to keep in barely living. When the person woke up, they had a shot nervous system that allowed them only to do and not feel, inhuman athletic ability, rage, and no sense of emotion."
"So, we got a bunch of buff, crazy, zombie humans who couldn't feel pain?"
"Yes, and the virus is so contagious and fast reproducing, it infected thousands of people the first day. Now, there are about a billion of these walking around, for 90% of people die before enough serum is given. "
With this information, Max started to remember and understand thing. He knew he had gone to investigate a reported mass breakout, hitting one of the largest towns in the World, Newporten. His job was to trap and kill the infected ones, while the city was still clean.
"So, what about me. The world seems pretty bad, and when I was hit by whatever, it was just the beginning."
"Well, it seems though your body fought off the virus, but it took a month. From the helmets scans, it looks thought you have some serum in your brain. That means you're probably going to experience inhuman abilities. Use this advantageand the helmet to try to find life. Protect everyone you can. We're currently building a medicine to kill the virus while keeping humans safe. That's all I can say. Please, we need to keep this race alive."
"I'll do my best."
