So, very recently, I've tried to record some solo stuff with guitar and synth.
...it hasn't been going well.
Synth is really hard to incorporate with a lot of the guitar work I try to do, and as if that's not making things difficult enough, the electrical in my house sucks and so I always end up losing what I record.
But once I finish some music, I'll try and get it up in hurr.
I just want one favor: could someone rip the audio for me?
Thaaaaank ya.

What Digital Audio Workstation are you using to record?

Tascam DP-01, I've had a difficult time with backing it up to a computer.

It looks like its just an internal Hard Drive thing, what software do you use to back the tracks to your computer?

Also, if you have some money to throw around for studio-quality sound and equipment, I'd buy an M-Box 2 mini, small, lightweight, direct plug into any XP or Mac, and runs on the latest in Pro Tools software, and even includes it along with several neat little plug ins for it too, and this particular package includes stereo monitors, cables, a great mike, and a mike stand.

Yeah, I actually looked into one of those a few months ago, couldn't afford it...
I use Audacity, that basically fails in every way. It'll back the track and then shut down.

Have you updated your drivers and installed XP Service Pack 2? Or do you use Vista?

Hrmm...You ought to check Microsoft.com to see if there is an update you need.

Looked around, couldn't find any upgrades that could possibly help me.

You could try using Wavepad instead of Audacity.
