Okay, The album is Almost halfway done. 3 of 6 songs have been recorded and mixed, I'm gonna go back and do another take for the guitar on Running Blind and another take for the drums on Epoch 8 tomorrow, and the work on it could span well into tuesday afternoon. After those tracks are completed and mixed, I'll begin work on the song "Cake" itself, and then continue working on Ideas for extending the song C.O.L.A. 415 part 2, and I'm trying to incorperate my talkbox into it as well.

I've found a manufacturer who will be able to make physical copies of the album and send them to me, so the earlier idea of selling two versions where one copy is ordered through Lulu and the special edition is just a white Digi has been phazed out. All the physical copies of the album will be on a DigiPak with the cover printed onto it, as well as the track list and back cover art printed as well. If you've ever bought an AC/DC album thats been in a DigiPak, it'll be kinda like that, except the disc tray won't be clear. These will be sold through me, and I'm going to buy an innitial package of 500-600 discs, and each one will include an index card with my signature and a handwritten letter of authenticity as well as a number. I'm going to try and find an online retailer that will be willing to sell it, and if I can't, I'll attempt to convince Jello to open a store on Seriouseinc.com and have it sold there.

All the artwork for the back cover, inside flap, side panel, and possibly the disk will be done by Rusty. Everyone who helped make this possible will get their names printed on the inside flap of the album as well as a free copy.

Any money made off of this album will go towards advertising, and if we make enough, I'm going to set aside a portion to donate to the wiki.

Due to the fact that I want a good job done on the art, the fact that I have to make a hard copy of the album, and having to do everything to grant the company that will be manufacturing the album the rights to make it, a release date cannot be set at this time. But still, don't get your hopes down, it will be made before summer!

Really, this isn't to jumpstart some kind of super-stardom career, its so I can get more experience with ProTools, have something to show Berklee when I go for my audition, and to actually say "Hey, you see this? I did something no one else could have done."

Other than that, the money is probably just gonna help with a small portion of my tuition. And I mean a VERY small portion.

Alright, Cola, I'm gonna start doing the album art. I'm going to do it in flash, and color in photoshop.

I need your help on a few things, however. This template that was included in the link you sent me, 4panel_digi, I'm not sure exactly what all the templates there are for. Also, it may be good if you could give me a little more detail on what you want me to do. Is there anything specific you want for all of this?

The images you draw must be resized to fit where indicated, (Back cover, front Cover, inside flap, Side panel), and should end where the bleed lines end (Bleed lines are marked, so don't draw anything important where the bleed marks begin and end because they may be cut off during printing).

What I want you to do for the back cover is something like this:


Except, you know, better, and with the building on the right in full view. That same building has to look kind of like Battersea Power Station, in the sense of the smoke stacks, and the building has to be on fire at some part, with smoke billowing up from it. The guy sitting under the tree with a Cake in his hands, a crowbar besides him, and a city with a giant pyramid in the background must all be included in the back cover, as they tie in to something else I'm gonna start working on soon.

On the inside flap, just draw a view from behind of the guy sitting in a chair, with monsters around him. Doesn't matter what monsters, or any specifics on them, so go crazy.

The front cover, however, has already been made, and I think I sent it to you. Resize it to fit the template, and it should work itself in.

Side panel, just make it a black strip with the name of the album and Spastik faec on it.

Also, I'd suggest you put your signature on it some where, if you weren't planning to or haven't thought about it.

Finally, after you've sent me the images and I've approved them, you gotta turn them into actual sized PDFs so they can be sent off to the manufacturer.

I kind of want someone to actually bake a Cake and write "Spastik Faec" on it with purple Icing and take a picture of it, then crop it to fit the disc label.
