I empty the contents of the suitcase.
6 pairs of pants identical to the ones I'm wearing
6 shirts, see above
6 pairs of underwear
6 pairs of socks
A toothbrush, wrapped in plastic
A small tube of toothpaste
And...
A small key.
You know what to do.

I try it on the main door...doesn't work at all. Way too small.
I try it on the medicine cabinet.
The door opens. In here, we've got a small box. I shake it--it's got some sort of small object inside. It's got a lock with a small LCD screen on it, the kind you would find on one of those old Nintendo handhelds. It's got a keyboard input, and space for only seven letters.

There's also a scrap of paper.
In an elegant print, it reads:
"With pointed fangs I sit in wait,
With piercing force I dole out fate,
Over bloodless victims proclaiming my might,
Eternally joining in a single bite.
What am I?"

I use the key to unlock the door.
I'm in a hallway. There are a few other doors that lead to rooms probably like mine. I can go left or right.

Try to use the key to get into another room. Meet some friends maybe.

We've already got a weapon (broken glass, brick)

Obviously, he is on vacation, got ether hurt or drunk, and now he's in his hotel.

Alright, let's go.
I head right, to the end of the hall, trying all of the doors on the way.
None are unlocked, and none work with my key.
At the end of the hall, there's one door different from the rest, but it's locked too.
I can go right from here, or back the way I came.

Go right again. Make sure there are no windows. Cause if there are any, then try opening them. If they won't open, then smash them open with the brick and climb down if you're not higher than 2 stories up.

The different door is weak and made of wood.
I smash it with the brick.
It would seem to be a janitor's closet.
