Been a fan since 200X (can't remember exactly when) and I've done a few H*R-related pieces.

Here's my first one, based on my original characters R. "Ripplin" Buckethead and Sonic Burp:

I also colored an el-cheapo dollar store mask to look like Strong Bad's:

I've done Senor Cardgage and Strong Bad as Lego men (see my signature), and I've also done Strong Bad as a robot. I originally wanted him to look much more Gundam-ish. (and I even drew some very Gundam-ish heads before drawing the design seen in the picture.)

I've submitted the first and last pics to TBC in the past, hoping to see them on the main page some week, but no dice. Oh well.

The first and third one are pretty good considering they were made in paint or whatever mac uses. The second one scares the crap outta me but is still good.

9.5/10 average

Keep it up

The first image was kinda "eh...", but the last two were pretty neat. My favorite definitely has to be the second image of the painted mask, as it's really Strongbad-like.

Wow, just wow, those images are made of pure awesomeness, especially the second one (a real life Strong Bad mask, that's...cool)

You should definitely send in the second one too, use it as part of a holloween costume.

Thanks for the nice comments, guys. :) Great to have more people to share these with than just H*R fans at deviantart. (of which there don't seem to be as many as I would have thought)

Dude, the mask is friggin' sweet! TBC should put something like this in the store, but like, a full helmet type.

The mask is probably the thing that'd get you into weekly fanstuff.

That's true, as they do tend to put a lot of arts and crafts projects in there... Maybe I should submit that one. :)

Buckethead fan = automatic win. Although stealing his name for one of your characters is kinda lame. :/

That being said, these are pretty impressive for MSPaint. (that is what you used for the 1st and 3rd pics, right? that's what it looks like)

And yeah, like Noid said, the mask would probably be more likely to get into fanstuff or at least get made fun of as part of a halloween costume.

See, I didn't bother giving any backstory because I figured no one would care. ;) In actuality, I created Ripplin several years before I'd even heard of Buckethead. (Ripplin around 1995, Buckethead in late 1997, via a magazine review of "Colma") They have nothing in common other than the last name.

Anyway yes, I used Paint for the ones you mentioned. I've done a ton of the Lego-type ones, like in my sig. Quite fun. :)

P.S. I'm a big Dream Theater fan as well. James signed my "Six Degrees..." booklet. Woo!

Oh okay, that's understandable then.

Sweet. :D

If I could give a suggestion, maybe use a bit more shading on your stuff. The first image especially looks...flat. Though I guess that's more of a limitation of Paint then anything else. I can tell by your non-digital drawings that you've got plenty of skill.

I understand where you were coming from. If I saw that and didn't know, I'd think it was cheap, too. Haha. I'm a member at buckethead.tk, a fan forum, and when I finally decided to show people Ripplin, I thought "I better put a pretty detailed account of how he came to be or people are just going to think I'm lazy!" :p

Thanks. I had considered shading for the first one, but decided not to in the end. (one thing I wanted to do was make Homestar Buckethead's bucket more chrome-like, but when I tried, it just didn't look right.) I think it was because of the size of it and how the shading would look more pixelated at that size. Know what I mean? Anyway, I left it 'flat', but tried to add as much detail and color as I could to offset that.

I may go back and try to spiff it up a bit, but the shading would only be in line with what TBC do, because this is the one piece I wanted to look closest to the real deal (as close as Paint could do)
