Everything is pretty much straight-forward; I'm not an artiste mystérieux. I mean, the movie has deeper meaning to me, but the interpretation of the piece is totally up to you. Snails don't mean anything. I had just learned that they were hermaphrodites, and gender-bending-as-normal is a major part of this movie. |

There's actually a pretty well known Aussie short film that has the same kind of premise that I've seen. The name eludes me at the moment, but it was quite good. They play it as a 10 minute filler on ABC sometimes. It's basically about a woman who suddenly starts growing a mustache, and tries to hide it and is very self-conscious. But then she starts to enjoy it and lets it grow big and bushy, then takes over the house form her lazy husband or something in the end. |
