But that would require not moving ever. That'd be lame. The guitars have five, one more than how many non-thumbs you have.

He was talking about how you would be partially able to take the Keyboard Hero skills to a real keyboard. Which you wouldn't be able to do with too few/incorrect keys.

Actually, you do learn real skills in Guitar Hero. Not to the point that you can be a half decent guitarist, but it has helped me learn the guitar faster than expected. Mostly due to the left hand not being slow and not having to figure out the whole right/left motions that make notes happen.

Rock Band kind of taught me how to play drums. I had been a percussionist for seven years, but could never play drumset.
