I suppose it's more "I decided to put the pants containing the iPod into the washer."

I didn't know it was in there until I was putting the pants in the dryer.
I felt something rectangular and metallic in the bottom of the machine.

That was bad thing.

The only thing that wouldn't work is Pink Floyd's Time. Seriously, if you listen to the song, I don't really think you can make that into a game...

You could, but it'd be REALLY boring at the beginning. Actually, that might make for a hard song. Make it really boring so that the player almost falls asleep, then hit them with the solo.

I like that idea.

Or they could add guitar to parts of the song. I think they've done that before and it would work for songs that don't have a lot of guitar (Sympathy for The Devil, save the solo)

Yay, I played the demo. The menus are pretty ugly...but that's really the only downside. You get five songs in the demo, Even Flow, Rock You Like a Hurricane, The Metal, Lay Down, and Hit Me With Your Best Shot. The pull offs and hammer ons (po's and ho's) seem a lot more fluid than in GHII. The Hi-Def GWAFICKS weren't as super as I expected them to be, but, hey, I'm just here for the music thing.
360 users with a GHII controller, PM me if you want details to getting the demo without buying skate., or buying the Xbox Magazine.

Plus, I pre-ordered today. And as an added bonus, since I pre-ordered from Best Buy, I got this cool guitar strap. I like it a whole lot more than the standard strap.

I was just watching that.

Lou looks cool. I was picturing some short, skinny, voiced-by-Steve-Buscemi-type-deal.

The lead singer is really ugly. Plus, he doesn't look like he could sing many voices. Shown the Welcome To The Jungle video. It's like a young, punk Jay Leno.

You can change the lead singer, I think.

I saw a blonde hair-metal looking one (probably Bret Micheals)

edit: Looks like instead of The God of Rock and the Grim Ripper I'm getting Metalhead and Elroy Budvis....

So "Guitar Battle vs. Lou" is a cover of "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" by somebody named Steve Ouimette that can only be played as a co-op against the computer. Also it's still credited as by the Charlie Daniels Band.

Is that right?

I'm not sure we're seeing the whole picture. Let's wait till it comes out to make fun of it.

So it seems Monsters will not in fact be in the game.

WE NEED PEACE SELLS ON GH III. It'd be great if they made full circle by having Megadeth on all three games.

Wow this game is gonna suck.

A sucky set list, a sucky third boss,(Seriously, the devil is a FIDDLE PLAYER, and thats his medium and profession), and sucky everything.

First off, Slash is a good guitarist, but he isnt THAT great. If anything, he's a standard guitarist of every modern rock band alive today.

Second, why the heck is Tom Morello in this game? He's only a bar above Slash in terms of skill, and thats still not alot.

Third, The devil. Why? Why the devil? Isn't that the most overused Rock n' Roll cliche' ever?

Why call it LEGENDS OF ROCK when the only two real guitarists in there aren't even that good anyway? Where the hell is Ted Nugent or Tom Petty or even Angus Young?

^Angus Young definately. Moat of the fan setlists I see with bosses in every tier see him being first tier but that doesn't do justice to him.

But still, why the Devil? Now they're just gonna have to come up with someone who's badder and better than him for GH4.

Aw, man. Looks like I'm going to be trusting Rock Band for the awesome rockage. I mean, this game looks fun and all, but it just seems sort of shallow and a little sold out.

Sept' When You Were Young. Man, I love the Killers.

I sure hope you can change the singer.

I played the demo and he creeps me out.

It looks like he could fit an entire watermelon in his mouth.

Oh yes it will. Just co-op only, until you play the co-op career.

I'm a little confused about the whole co-op encore thing. Tell me if this is right: there's a co-op career mode that's mostly the same as normal, except the encores are different. When you beat the new encores on co-op, they become unlocked as single player songs.

AMIRITE?

^ I think so. Which kind of sucks. I'm not shelling out the cash for another guitar, and none of my friends are planning to get GHIII.

So I just preordered the game. I think I'm the only one here planning to get it at launch. This is mainly because I'm really excited for this - it's the first Guitar Hero I'll actually be able to get.

Also, I've been listening to a lot of the songs I didn't know, so far I think the playlist is pretty good...

I pre-ordered last week. Though, I'm getting it for 360, because of the amazing online experience that is sure to be.

Well, there's an "unlock all" code you can use if you want to try the songs out. I don't know it off the top of my head, but it'll probably be on GameFAQs and such the day it comes out. Then you can play all the exclusive songs you want!

Awesome. Perfection.

I'll play the single player career until I can't beat it, then I'll unlock everything.

I played at Game Crazy today, waiting for our pizzas to be ready to take home.
The Les Paul feels amazing. Though the one I was using was very heavily used, and I failed the song because I couldn't quite get the faulty strum bar to work.
