There's nothing wrong with that. Well, ok, so you'll make the "open-minded" people that subscribe to the "Kentuckians are all backwoods, inbred hicks that watch NASCAR when they're not sleeping with their cousins" stereotype mad, but who cares?
Now, if you'd said you don't like basketball...
Oh, please. I'd be out of my mind if I said that...still waiting for us to sign Patrick Patterson...ok, sorry, off-topic.

Another F1 alumni has planned to come to NASCAR next year: Jaques Villeneuve.

He says he either wants to go straight to the Nextel Cup in 2008, or go Busch in 2008 and Nextel in 2009.

Thoughts? I think Montoya's started a trend.

LOL Indy 500...

Poor Helio. Define "CARP!": Being the Indy 500 polesitter and having your car not start, then having your crew damage part of it in their rush to get it started.

Also, is the IRL trying to be NASCAR? We have a caution, caused by John Andretti. Secondly, the caution is a debris caution. Good thing Tony Stewart isn't driving in Ohio today

EDIT: ...and John Andretti crashes... IRL = NASCAR

Was the Coca-Cola 600 real? I mean, all 5 of the top-5 were drivers who haven't seen a top 5 in ages. Kyle Petty 3rd?!?!? Toyota in the top-10??!?! Jeff Gordon not finishing the race?!?!

What's NASCAR coming to?

Raddy, since when is the Indianapolis 500 in Ohio?

As for the Coke 600, variety is the spice of life.

A bittersweet day in NASCAR. Bill France Jr. dies and Martin Truex Jr. gets his first win.[/url]

Tony Stewart is the best driver period. Name another driver who can take both hands off the wheel to get a drink of water after completing a pass for the lead.

That was funny, for sure.

I like his response when they asked him. "I was thirsty"

No hands + 200mph =fun.

You'd think Home Depot would give the boy a ladder.

Robbie Gordon needs to shut up and realize that NASCAR is like a customer, they are always right.

"Smoke" 'em if you got 'em!!!

What's this make? 3 in a row?

Home Depot really needs to give him a ladder.

This week is going to be interesting, with the race at Bristol on Saturday night and whatnot.

That was some fun Bristol action, for sure.

I say NASCAR should deduct points from Edwards, since he didn't stick the landing.

Also, I got this message in my Myspace mail thing today.

Stu and I talked about this thing a couple months ago. I just got around to making it today.

Dag...
It didn't happen.

Jr didn't make the chase.

Am I the only one that thinks that NASCAR should move the second Talledaga race to a later spot in the chase? Make Race 7 or 8 instead of Race 4.

Nah.
Having early makes it possible for anyone that gets in the big one a chance to make up for it.

Talladega is one of the few races where you can completely destroy your car and have absolutely nothing to do with it.

EDIT: I'm trying not to make a French/Surrender joke about Villeneuve voluntarily going to the back of the pack. Yes, I know he's from Quebec, not France, but it's close enough.

EDIT: Miss University of Alabama... ROLL TIDE!

I almost ticked my pants happy when Jeff Gordon came around to lead 1/3 of a lap and take home first place. Luckily I was able to hold it in.

I'm a Gordon fan in case you didn't notice. I was so proud when he came around, he needed this win so badly. I don't want to see Jimmy Johnson take the championship again. One of my friends is now a Jimmy fan and he used to be a Gordon fan. He said Gordon doesn't have it anymore, now I get to rub it in his face! :sb:

Another cool thing is that my dad is a big Gordon fan, and he goes to one race a year. He happened to pick this one. How awesome is that?

Anyways, I'm glad Gordon won, and that it was skill that got him the win.

No, that was Tony Stewart's bumper that got Gordon the win.

The only thing I know about Nascar is that Saturday morning cartoon, Nascar Racers. Anyone else ever see that one?

Unfortunately, I did. I wish I could have that 5 minutes back.

No, that was Tony Stewart's bumper that got Gordon the win.

Maybe that was why the fans didn't throw stuff.

Maybe they were all "Well, Tony pushed him to the front, so I think it's OK", or maybe they were all "He's gonna be Junior's teammate next year", or maybe they drank all of their beers this time.
Who knows.

The fact that people were cheering Gordon was surprising, to say the least.

Yeah, yeah, Mega Bump...

The Daytona 500 is this Sunday, ya'll. Anyone got some projections for the race?

Hendrick will own the day. Unless, of course "The Big One" takes them all out.
