I haven't looked through the binoculars at all today, and on my Pokédex it has Exeggcute, Kangaskhan, Yanma and Shroomish listed at the Safari Zone, while Tropius is "area unknown". Tropius can NOT ever be caught in the Safari Zone, otherwise it would not say area unknown.

Well Ive done some more research and it appears we are both right. You see, people have looked in the code and have confirmed that Tangela is supposed to swarm on Mt. Corronet while Tropius is supposed to appear in the Great Marsh. Problem is that even though the code exist they don't show and no one knows why. Its assumed that a fix will eventually be released.

Hm, well I didn't know that. All of my information came from the in-game Pokédex.

It will probably be fixed in Pokémon Platinum.

Okay, so it's been more than 24 hours, so I've transfered the Pokémon from Ruby. They were: Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Groudon and Rayquaza... and a Zigzagoon. This allowed me to wake up Regigigas, so I caught him. Not too difficult to catch using a lot of dusk balls and patience.

I really can't stand the way that Regigigas was designed. Its name and body features are extremely stupid-looking.

Yes it is. Ive got the colliseum bonus disc and a ruby cart that are used solely for harvesting Jirachi's. Painstaking process but one day Ill get that perfect one.

Which means, to cut down on eggs when breeding for just that right nature do the following:

1. put the parents in the day-care, and save.
2. ride around til you get the egg.
3. do the trick above.
4. if you get an undesired nature, reset and try again from step 2.
if you get the right nature, great. save and repeat step 2.
Saves you time hatching a million eggs.

Edit: What berry was on it? It can come with 1 of 2 and I didn't bother checking which one.

EDIT: Hmm, I've spent a lot of time dedicated to Pokémon Pearl... That Jirachi was the 479th Pokémon added to the Pokédex. That means I need 14 more before it's ENTIRELY FINISHED.

The ones I'm missing are:

Mew
Entei
Suicune
Lugia
Ho-oh
Celebi
Latias
Latios
Kyogre
Deoxys
Manaphy
Darkrai
Shaymin
Arceus

The easiest one on that list to get is Kyogre, I just have to play either Sapphire or Emerald and transfer it. I really wish I could find the Latios that's hiding somewhere in Ruby.

I know I'll never get Mew, Celebi, Arceus, Shaymin or Darkrai... and I don't want to buy whatever spinoff I need to buy to get Manaphy.
I have Raikou (caught with a master ball, found entirely by luck in LeafGreen)... I need Entei and Suicune, now to complete the trio, but they're such a pain to get.

IS it actually possible for ANYONE to actually have a legit Celebi? Is it? What about Ho-oh and Lugia?

Unfortunately, Gold, Silver and Crystal aren't compatible with any game newer than themselves. You can do a one-way transfer of a Pokémon from the GBA games into Diamond and Pearl, but Diamond and Pearl can't interact with the older games whatsoever.

Not True, at this point the only unobtainable up there is Arceus, otherwise you can get the rest, in fact, I own the rest (cept Shaymin) so I can GTS until I get a legit one for you.

Celebi has been giving out at several (three) events so there are many legit ones floating around the internet. Most notably Journey Across Amercia Celebi, though also givig away in the Japanese Colliseum Bonus Disc as well as during 2006 at the Taiwan Poke Park (this is the one that I own).

For Lugia and Ho-oh, other then getting them trough an event it is possible to obtain Lugia in pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness and Ho-oh in Pokemon Colliseum. I own a Gale of Darkness lugia and am seeking to trade someone with a Ho-oh.

My comments in Bold. Ill gladly help you complete your Dex. Not Arceus though as he is yet to have an event.
