I still see NO point to stupid Shaymin. I don't want a grass legendary that is tiny! If they want to force a grass on us, make it look cool, at least. Goodness folks.

Ya but it doesn't look cool either. All gens have a hidden legend that doesn't look cool: Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Shaymin.

Right. There is always a secret "cute" legendary. Except Manaphy is supposed to be the main one from this generation, but they went WAY overboard with the legendaries so I guess they have several in that category.

The Sky Forme of Shaymin looks a bit less wussy, thankfully.

Wait, did you just say that Mew isn't cool?

I'd say that Mew is the coolest out of those four, anyway. I don't mind that Shaymin exists, I just mind that they're making new forms of Shaymin when form one hasn't been introduced properly everywhere.

The concept of Mew is cool, the sprite/design not so much.

The first form hasn't been introduced at all yet.... that event is an upcoming on in Japan. Also, its rumored that in Platinum you will be able to catch this Sky form without an event so that might explain it.

You're saying Mew is cool? Don't get me wrong, I loooove Mew, but unless you're referring to its combat prowess, I think "way cuter and cuddlier than should be legal" is a better way to describe it than "cool."

And I never thought of that part about the new Forme... that's kind of lame.

Cool as in its got really awesome stats, a massive move pool and a pokemon with ever other pokemons DNA kicks some serious butt concept wise.

Order of discovery/cataloging by the humans/scientists that built the pokedex. Take for example Arceus, hes supposed to be the original one that made everything, aka god, but hes like 490 something.

I don't mind buying another game (i intended to get all the games anyway), but it's more the fact that i have to start another file...

Sure but like, they had to know about Mew first to make Mewtwo from its DNA. :\

But they never acquired Mew. They were just aware of its existence and they got their hands on an eyebrow. Which is odd, because Mew doesn't have any.

Ya, they knew that he existed at one point but didn't know he was still alive, thus the cloning process began to bring him back to life.

Grrr I'm mad because my Pokemon Gold and Silver versions don't work. Gold and Silver where the coolest ones they ever made except FireRed and LeafGreen. And if the made a remake of Gold and Silver like they did Red and Blue that would be so popular.

If they remade them, then I'd be able to get a Lugia and a Ho-Oh in my almost-complete Pokédex on Pearl.

You know, Pearl is the only Pokémon game I've actually made a serious attempt at a complete Pokédex. I remember trying when I got Gold, but I never even got close. My old Gold cartridge does work, and I popped it in just to see where I was, and it turns out, I never even caught a Goldeen.... Yeah, some Pokédexer I was.

I dunno why people would try for a complete Dex in the new games. WAAAAAY too many Pokemon.

Getting it in Red/Blue was time consuming, but not only feasible for a kid to do, but worthwhile as well. That's why I did it.

There are many pokemans but many of them are easy to obtain in the new games. Not like in 3rd gen where you did actually need to get 3-4 games to do it.
