I knew there were switches, but I thought that quote was from the hidden Game Corner switch instead. *shrug*

The Game Corner message is, if I remember... "Hey! A secret switch! Let's push it."

The "Who wouldn't?" is definitely only in the Pokémon Mansion.

I dunno why people would try for a complete Dex in the new games. WAAAAAY too many Pokemon.

Getting it in Red/Blue was time consuming, but not only feasible for a kid to do, but worthwhile as well. That's why I did it. :)

In D/P they have like a million Pokemon living in the same area though. You'll probably encounter ten different species walking between two towns, whereas in R/B you'd only see two or three. I had nearly 150 before the Elite 4.
R/B is still the only Pokedex I ever completed though.

Ah, that makes sense.

Still though, the whole "collecting" aspect is dead to me. Not totally sure why.

Also, problem I have with G/S...the wild Pokemon in an area are at least 5-10 levels under the ones used by the boss (Gym Leader, Rival, Rocket Exec, etc). Pretty much same thing goes for the trainer Pokemon. Unfortunately I no longer have patience for Wild Pokemon grinding so I got to the E4 with Pokemon all in the high 30s, and got decimated by Will's 40+ Pokemon (though I was able to beat my Rival in Victory Road)

So my team is really starting to come together, Its looking like Ill be running a classic set up and sweep team with some bonus surprises thrown in (such as my snorlax taking out ghosts that try and switch in).

That'd be pretty cool, except for the fact that it only has like three half decent non-Flying/Electric damage moves. :( [EDIT: Four, apparently, if you count Extrasensory from XD.]

I used to be unhealthily obsessed with Zapdos back when I was younger.

Why would you need more then one non electric/flying move on zapdos in the first place?

On one? You really wouldn't, especially if you want Thunder Wave. On six, though...

Zapdos is a god among bird Pokemon who are usually weak against electric :)

I think being immune to the extremely common Ground attacks (most notably Earthquake) that decimate other Electric types is even more noteworthy. Having weaknesses to only Ice and Rock is also pretty sweet.

Now if only we could get it to have Volt Absorb instead of that ridiculous Pressure ability those legendaries have.

Electric types still fair quite well against him though as they do neutral damage.

Still though, not being weak against them, as well as having a built-in advantage against Water/Ice Pokemon (Seel, Shellder, etc) is still a great benefit

Ice types can still destroy Zapdos, theres no doubt about that. So I would definitely switch out if an Ice type showed its face (or something with an ice move).

Zapdos was my favourite legendary, back then. Actually, he's still one of my top favourites. I also remember finding a holographic Zapdos trading card in a packet when trading cards were still in fashion...

Hmm. What other legendaries are my favourites...?
Well, Ho-oh's nearly as cool-looking as Zapdos, and I like Entei. I also kind of like Rayquaza...

Hmm, you know what? Zapdos is still my favourite.

I'd say my least favourite is the absolutely stupid-looking, stupid-sounding, stupid-everything Regigigas.

That's why I gave my Zapdos Steel Wing, just in case switching out wasn't an option. Still, non-Ice and non-Rock Pokémon packing Ice Beam or a Rock move are a problem, but everything has weaknesses; there's no perfect way around it. At the very least, stat/tactical weaknesses, that is *coughSableyeSpiritomb*.

OK, this isn't about Zapdos, but whatever.

And if you thought the Lavender Town music was creepy normally...

Hm. If it's called "Pokémon 151", will it not include any of the more recent Pokémon? That would be a shame, as there are cool ones in the newer games, too.

False. The 151 shall always be the very best, like no one ever was.
